Well in the space of three hours our fun little cyclone has intensified into a cat 4 monster and possibly cat 5 by landfall....still a long way from here, but here on the coast it has been nearly 7 hours of very heavy rain and 40klm wind....

Raining.....still, nearly 7 inches overnight.....10 to 50 inches predicted for the next 48 hours.....yes that is accurate....
Cyclone has crossed land as a Cat 5 and moving south towards a population centre of over 50,000 people...fun but scary day ahead....

Finally....its over, the cyclone has just passed over as remnants in the form of a tropical low....last reading of mine totaled 18 inches of rain over two and a half days, heaps of flooding, further north houses destroyed....now to dry evrything out....grumble grumble
