Topic: Is Iran about to get the bomb? | |
---|---|
Everyone thinks Iran is now a loose screw away from getting the bomb. Pretty much every country who has really tried to get nukes has eventually succeeded.
The six month "deadline" Obama gave Iran is up this week. What will happen? A new deadline? Empty words? One news report was that the current missile attacks on Israel were set up as a distraction to keep Israel occupied. Iran is also very close to developing ICBMs that could reach the US. Why? |

I saw a news report that predicted that Obama would accept any offer of "slowing down the bomb making process" that Iran comes up with this week.

Iran has agreed to demands that go beyond the NPT; however there clearly are many nutjobs there. Much like Reagan saying let us have Armaggedon now

'The day after Iran's first nuclear test is a normal day' A bizarre article on a Revolutionary Guard website breaks a taboo by anticipating the impact of an Iranian bomb Any mention of an Iranian nuclear weapon is taboo in the Islamic Republic, which insists that its nuclear programme is entirely for peaceful, civil purposes. So it is remarkable, to say the least, that an article has appeared on the Gerdab website, run by Iran's Revolutionary Guards, anticipating the day after Iran's first test of a nuclear warhead. Here is a translation of the text: The day after Iran's first nuclear test is a normal day. The day after Islamic Republic of Iran's first nuclear test will be an ordinary day for us Iranians but in the eyes of some of us there will be a new sparkle. It's a good day. It's seven in the morning. The sun is not fully up yet but everywhere is bright. In the northern hemisphere many countries are beginning the day... The day before, probably in central deserts of Iran, where once Americans and some other Western countries wanted to bury their nuclear waste, an underground nuclear explosion has taken place. The strength of the explosion was not so great as to cause severe damage to the region nor so weak that Iranian scientists face any problems in running their tests. Today is a normal day like any other. Like 90% of the year, there is news about Iran, and these are the headlines which can be seen on foreign news sites: Reuters: Iran detonated its nuclear bomb CNN: Iran detonated nuclear bomb Al-Jazeera: The second Islamic nuclear bomb was tested Al-Arabia: The Shia nuclear bomb was tested Yahoo! News: Nuclear explosion in Iran Jerusalem Post: Mullahs obtained nuclear weapon Washington Post: Nuclear explosion in Iran, Shock and despair in Tel Aviv Meanwhile, the domestic media will offer many congratulations to the Hidden Imam and the Supreme Leader: Keyhan: Iran's first nuclear bomb was tested Jomhoori-e-eslami: Iran successfully carried out a nuclear test Iran: By order of the president, Iran's 100% homemade nuclear bomb was tested Ettela'at: Iran's much anticipated nuclear bomb exploded This strange, hypothetical, article, which first appeared on April 24, hammers home again and again the message that an Iranian nuclear test will not lead to disaster. On the contrary, life will go as before except that Iranians will feel better about themselves. The news commotion will not knock life in Iran off balance. Civil servants will punch in at work on time as always, while some will be late as always. ...The day after the Islamic Republic of Iran's first nuclear test will be an ordinary day for us Iranians but in the eyes of some of us there will be a new sparkle. A sparkle of national pride and strength. This has the look of a kite being flown, but for whom? It could be intended to get Iranians used to the idea of a nuclear test, and less fearful of international reaction. It could be a gesture of defiance to the world by hardline elements - according to independent experts, Gerdab is run by the Revolutionary Guards' cyber defence command, which is presumably still smarting from the Stuxnet attack. Opposition websites describe it as an enforcement tool for the regime, identifying and threatening independent bloggers inside Iran. The article comes during a period when Tehran's official stance is particularly defiant and assertive, announcing today that it will triple its production of 20% enriched uranium and shift it to the underground Fordow site, near Qom. Meir Javedanfar, an Iranian-Israeli expert on the Tehran regime currently lecturing in Colombia, described the Gerdab article as "unbelievable". I have never seen anything like this report. It's breaking a major taboo. For now we have to treat it as a one off. However if this report is followed by others similar to it, then it would signify a major change in the way Iran refers to its nuclear program. It would mean that Iran has decided to use the idea of a nuclear bomb as a deterrence against further sanctions and the possibility of a military attack by the West. It could also be a tool for the regime to boost its waning popularity at home. Such a change could prove to be very damaging in the short and long term, as it would be a significant boost for western efforts to isolate Iran and to consolidate the international consensus against the Islamic Republic and its nuclear program. Such isolation and deteriorating economic situation could be more damaging to the regime's top priority, which is its survival, than a military attack by the West. So what....let them get the bomb.
They will only be able to use it once and at what risk to their nation? Complete destruction. Do you really think they would take that risk? |
|
|
|
Do you actually think they care? It's quite evident that there is a complete lack of concern for their own lives, via suicide bombings. But hey they think they'll get 72 virgins. I wonder where Allah guarantees they'll be female?

Do you actually think they care? It's quite evident that there is a complete lack of concern for their own lives, via suicide bombings. But hey they think they'll get 72 virgins. I wonder where Allah guarantees they'll be female? They do not care! About a year ago one of their leaders make the statement (I'll try to find it) that Iran could and would accept the loss of 75% of their population (the amount they expected to lose in a retaliatory nuclear attack) if the result was the end of Israel. They don't have a lot of infrastructure to rebuild and much of the population already lives in primitive conditions that a nuke strike on the cities wouldn't affect. He also stated that the result would leave Iran as the undisputed "head" of the Muslin world. They have the missile technology and one nuke hit on Tel Aviv would probably end Israel as a nation or at least weaken it to the point that any Arab invasion would be successful. |

even though the Info is several years old,it is chilling!
http://voiceofrussia.com//2012_07_11/Hamenei-End-of-the-World/ Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Hamenei has called on his people to prepare for a war and the End of the World. In his recent message, Ayatollah Hamenei warned the Iranian people of the coming of the Mahdi, the Hidden Imam, the last and awaited prophet who will appear for the Doomsday to save the world and impose Islamic world order. Mr. Hamenei stressed the coming of the Mahdi was prophesized in the Quran and all Iranians were to prepare for it. He said that, if the Iranian people believed themselves to be the soldiers of the Twelfth Imam, they should get ready to be led by Allah to the war to help the Islamic civilization triumph over the world. It is our destiny, the Iranian spiritual leader concluded. Local media report that Tehran has been circulating a brochure titled The Last Six Months, urging officers to brace themselves ahead of the Mahdi's arrival and the last standoff with the West. Iran's Revolutionary Guards cautioned Israel and the US they had no information as the kind of warheads Iranian missiles may carry. Interfax |

They are a nation led by extremists who want their 72 virgins and a nation who's leaders said they will do everything in their power to wipe Israel and the US off the face of the earth. |

wouldnt it be strangely ironic though
remembering all those tacky chants of 'bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb iran' |

We honestly don't even need to, although we could do it better then anyone else. Basically EVERY country in the Middle East is very strongly opposed to Iran getting Nuclear Weapons. I am sure there would be a joint effort of countries in the Middle East who would prevent that from happening if it went that far. |

No, but they would love one for reasons obvious to anyone with a brain. Nations backed by Western power, with their nations currencies controlled by central banks, all have them. .....but the central bankers who control us and our congress, our news media, and the majority of the other world nations, would like us all to think so.... Just ask Saddam and Gaddafi Iran was our friend and ally until we went off the gold standard adopting the Petro Dollar under Nixon in 1971, surrendering our own nation to control by the FED..... our central bank. Our banker puppet, The Shah, was quickly overthrown and forced to flee after plundering Irans wealth and giving them a central bank and fiat currency in exchange. Is it any wonder they are now "our enemy"? It is not healthy to sell your nations resources in anything but US dollars...... Create a monster, call it terrorism, and the people will surrender their wills, rights, freedoms and sovereignty in fear..... believing anything they hear or see on TV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgNb83Y0CoY#t=93 |

Most don't question or even bother to look past the smile and rhetoric..... they just complain when they get what they voted for.... or silently accept not willing to admit a mistake in judgment I might actually have voted for Obozo in '08 if Ron Paul wasn't running..... based on his lies and rhetoric..... and being basically an unknown.... thank goodness Paul was running.....luckily, no need for that regret! |
