Can stubborn people be sensitive? yes. Just because they are stubborn doesn't mean they don't have a heart or feelings. One never knows if past rejection has made them how they are now

It may be that stubborn people are much more sensitive and are stubborn because of how deeply they feel about things. Eh, I don't know if it runs that deep or at all.

Using something other than rationale for decisions usually indicates that emotion is the impetus for the decision. So, yes, stubborn people can be sensitive.
