But since it is paid for I really can't complain about the repairs.. lol Just wish I had the money to do them all at one time but don't want to refinance to do that..

I will let you know when they are completed. Did a bunch of work over the weekend.. by the end of this week I will have everything off the front porch and checking to see what it will cost me to replace the floor on the front porch... Then have to see about the flooring for the living room and hallway.. 
Your dog is welcome too... Sassy is spoiled but she does get along with others just takes her a little bit.. 
Daisy is the same way, takes her awhile to warm up to other dogs. But living in an apartment she is adjusting. You are really doing a makeover on your house. I know it's a lot of work but sure will be worth it. |

I just spent two days working on my lawn mower!!

Lol the wheel fell off of mine while mowing had to have my son come mow my yard..
Then last week I got stupid and fell and bummed up my knee pretty good so have not been able to do anything around the house

today is the birthday of the united states marine corps, but that pales in comparison to the birthday of my friend carol. happy birthday carol and enjoy the day (as much as one can enjoy a day in houston)

Wow! I made the perfect turkey and perfect ham yesterday! I also made some cheesy scalloped smoked potatoes that would knock your socks off!

Awwww I bet it was awesome~~~ we did have ham at my sons then several other dishes some I have never had that way.. They are always experimenting with different dishes... All was good..
Christmas they are having Prime Rib.. I plan on cooking me a traditional Christmas Dinner prior I miss it.. lol |

I cook prime rib at the Houston Rodeo every year... the roasted medium rare kind. I have been experiementing with a slow-smoked till tender prime rib but I'm not quite there. Cooking the meat long and slow like a brisket is making it too dry. Time for some injection, fat wrapping, etc.
I just had a leftover prime rib sandwich as a break from the turkey and ham!!

Yea wish I could have gotten tired of turkey lmao....
But regardless I must say it was really good what we had... And I have a back up for Christmas.. Cause I'm cooking me a small turkey with all the trimmings
On another note my living room has still been at a stand still down to the flooring now.. But due to a leak in the roof over my bedroom and a big walk in closet I had ignored. With all this rain we have gotten this year well it reminded me really fast, that I need to repair that before I go any farther.... Got the roof re roofed on Tuesday this week and now have damage in my room on one wall and the closet area a section of the ceiling did fall in... But on a good note the guys that did my roof gave me a great bid on putting down the laminated flooring... Which is one of the next things I'm doing.. They are coming back out Saturday to give me bids on the replacing the porch on my big shed and the siding on my smaller shed... So things are starting to move along... I'm defiantly using them to do all the repairs I need done..Hopefully by the end of this month all those repairs will be finished...And I can get my house back in order before I start on another room..
Ohh and I actually fixed my lawn mower myself just a wheel had fell off but hey I still got it done and was able to mow my yard before this last big rain hit.. Was like a jungle again...

I haven't visited here lately and thought I would say hi, I hope all my friends on this conversation are doing well. I have had a tough last month but hopefully 2016 will be a better year. I lost my sweet girl Daisy New Year's Eve morning and so it has been a tough time. Miss y'all!!!!! |
