Well that's what my friend said and I think he is right.... What do you minglers think? the statements about balance are spot on, I don't think its healthy for one to love more than the other, whichever gender that person is,,, I know couples where the man adores the woman and after a while she loses respect and interest and just expects to lead them around taking much more than she gives,,,, agreed. I also don;t think love is easily quantified in that way. (or if a lack of balance is obvious than they really are in love ... one of them is not). there may be times when it seems like one partner is compromising more/less on certain things...but those dynamics play out over time with both partners |

Since people define Love so drastically different from each other, match is of utmost importance. My take. It's just a word. More important is a bond,connection, mindset. The connection will mature if the couple has the mindset to be respectful,unselfish,forgiving,attentive to a partners needs and wants,etc.When two people don't take each other for granted and choose to not be over demanding, you can aquire unity. There is nothing on Earth like having some one you trust and respect.

 seriously this is almost as bad as the time a friend said men can't help but to cheat so u should just forgive and forget. A woman would be upset if a man did not share her love so why should a man have to "be happy" with a woman who doesn't share his love

 yeah, I wouldnt think that would be very fulfilling at the end of the day, though I believe there are people who can be happy with it,, just as much as SOME people can be happy in 'open' marriages where they can be with whomever else they like and their partner can too if what they are looking for is there , they can overlook many things they werent looking for,,, |

and the title says the best kind of love no doubt would be where both are totally dedicated and in love with EACH OTHER,,,, My sentiments exactly...true love exemplifies whether only one person is totally invested and the other is not...not a good situation...but when both are totally invested in each other it has the ultimate degree of success to the individuals involved. Supporting each other through the hard times will make a success of the relationship in the good times IMHO! Being there is what really counts. It's easy to be there in the good times, but can you stand with the relationship in the bad times? Life dictates that if you can't be there for your partner in the bad times, as well as the good times, you cannot keep a deeply committed relationship, in any sense of the word. |

that's a good question. I'm not sure how I'd feel about someone that loves me more than I love him. We would have to have the same kind of love like on the same level. I'm not the type of person that's comfortable with the kind of love that I cannot return equally.
