Topic: Benghazi Suspect Captured | |
---|---|
President Obama's mistakes are now so legendary ... How legendary? ... so legendary that only an Obama-worshiper would deny their existence. However, when it comes to Obama's mistakes, his approving of the military operation that resulted in the capture of the Benghazi suspect isn't one of them. In short, the original topic of this thread is something that President Obama did right. So legendary, that Cons everywhere simply let Fox News tell of their existence. So legendary that none ever dare look up anything to back up their claims. So legendary that you simply say that they exist and we have to accept it as fact. Nice try. How about just one to start? Solendra. |

The loan guarantee to Solyndra was just a (relatively) small part of a very large stimulus package, and while Solyndra soon went out of business, most of the other investments did not, and the overall Stimulus bill was very much a success. In retrospect, the investments should have been much larger, as President Obama requested at the time.

So legendary that none ever dare look up anything to back up their claims. So legendary that you simply say that they exist and we have to accept it as fact. Nice try. Compiled by political satirist Daniel Kurtzman: "R-S-P-E-C-T." --flubbing the spelling of Aretha Franklin's famous song "Respect" while paying tribute to the iconic singer, New York, NY (March 6, 2014) "When I meet with world leaders, what's striking -- whether it's in Europe or here in Asia..." -mistakenly referring to Hawaii as Asia while holding a press conference outside Honolulu, Nov. 16, 2011 "We're the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad." -Cincinnati, OH, Sept. 22, 2011 "I mean, I do think at a certain point you've made enough money." - on Wall Street reform, Quincy, Ill., April 29, 2010 "The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system." --in remarks after a health care round-table with physicians, nurses and health care providers, Washington, D.C., July 20, 2009 "No, no. I have been practicing...I bowled a 129. It's like -- it was like Special Olympics, or something." --making an off-hand joke during an appearance on "The Tonight Show", March 19, 2009 (Obama later called the head of the Special Olympics to apologize.) "I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody." -- defending his tax plan to Joe the Plumber, who argued that Obama's policy hurts small-business owners like himself, Toledo, Ohio, Oct. 12, 2008 "On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong." "I've now been in 57 states -- I think one left to go." --at a campaign event in Beaverton, Oregon "It's not surprising, then, they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." --explaining his troubles winning over some working-class voters "Come on! I just answered, like, eight questions." --exasperated by reporters after a news conference |

Scientists confirm with House Republicans that indeed, the sky is NOT always blue, and grass ISNT always green. Stay Tuned! Dude, there are genuine scandals involving the Obama Administration that members of Congress are investigating. Anyway, in case you missed it, earlier I said, "The original topic of this thread is something that President Obama did right." Yes, President Obama did the right thing by authorizing the military operation that resulted in the capture of a terrorist. No sitting President of the USA is flawless, and no sitting President of the USA is completely incompetent. Each sitting President makes good decisions and makes bad decisions. That is why I consider it foolish to idolize any sitting President. |

I don't follow Naomi Wolff but I do admire Milton Friedman. |

That's why every politician in Washington should use Beano. And Mort should too. There isn't enough Beano in the world to eliminate all of the gas produced by D.C. politicians. |
