Rehab can be 2 steps forward, 1 step back- don't let it discourage you. When I was in rehab I got basically 1 hour PT/OT a day; so on down time I took my wheelchair to an empty hallway and worked on standing/walking by myself; I brown-nosed the CNAs to let me and check in on me; took me 6 weeks until I put the wheelchair/walker aside and I am not great yet but I am good enough. But remember, I was as strong as a horse to begin with

Hope you know keeping you in good thoughts. If I can do it I am sure you can. One thing about being down when you get back up you seem to savor it like never before. Every day I walk, even if it is a day I wobble, there is just that little celebration of victory. Best Wishes you have same result.

Well just git out of a week in the hospital. Now in a rehabilitation hospital, start my first day of therapy today.I'm sure it will be tough but no tougher than the last year I had...wish me luck Hi Pam, wishing you a quick and full recovery. Much love from the great white north eh!

Hi Pacific star, I've seen your yacht somewhere between Marina del rey California and Skagway Alaska. Could have been on her travels or stay in Vancouver Island? Actually the one thats registered in California is a luxurious 75' charter fish boat,sounds like the one I recall. There is 180ft yacht registered in The AK that is primarily chartered for research and survey work. Is that you boat too? Hope you are also doing well,baby steps, All my very best

Thank you Jamie, Leigh, jemare, therapy is going well 70 min a day 5 days a week and boy they work ya. But I'm giving it all the got. Working on strength, balance, and walking now my one leg is doing really good still have to get the other one going but u know it will take time. But thanks again
|
