So does anyone have an inerestiing job if so what is it?
|
|
|

well mine's pretty boring but I had a friend of mine that worked in
packing at a fudge factory...he didn't brag about his job much tho |

Ok. I will try to explain this.
I paid my way through college by modeling and writing professional letters for people. Since I have graduated, I am a medium by profession and I give lectures on the passing. Being a Native American, it seems to come easy, to help people understand the real concept of death. Sucks sometimes, but mostly it is a rewarding profession, that has it's own personal rewards at times. |

I love my job! It is very stressful but also rewarding. I work with
adolescents that are comming from the gangs and DOC with severe behavioral and drug problems. I have been doing this straight out of college for the last 15 years. The pay is horrible in social services but the emotional pay off is like no other. There is also never a boring day~ |

I am a medical transcriptionist so I type the doctors notes into the
patient's medical records. Have done this for about 25 years, mostly as a second job though. Worked for the prison system as an adminsitrative secretary for 17 years before quitting in 2003 to come over here to take care of my parents (now that job sucks- caring for sick parents, I mean (guess that wasn't nice but they can get nasty when they get older). Liked the prison system better than full-time transcription. More interesting, more duties, lots of variety. Talked to inmate families, lawyers, and police and helped them resolve issues, felt like I was accomplishing something. Now I type all day, gets boring a lot of the time. |

Im a substance abuse counselor, is very rewarding, but is also dificult,
I work with mandated patients, from jail and court, family, and criminal court, some of them don't want the help to stay drugs free and that is the chalenge, is easy when they are ready to stop and and have a new clean life I love my job. I have made lots of mothers happy morena |

Morena, It sounds like you and I do a lot of the same type of work. It
is very rewarding but it can also be frustrating at times. My motto is "You have no control over anyone but yourself" This works with a lot of amily members who are the enablers. |

I work as roustabout in the oilfield. I do all the construction and
repairs that are need in the field. |
|
|
|
you are so right about that, is frustrating when you work hard
with a patient, and their families destroy all that work by enabling them. |

I think the families need just as much help as the addicts do as they
need to learn how to stop enabeling and learn skills to provide healthy assistance, It is a family issue not just the addicts. I built a web site for family and friends of addicts and I have over 500 members and it is just a awesome place for familys and friends to ask and offer feedback on how they are dealing with it. |
