You got more than one soul-mate, so if you find one of them, they're bound to have more elsewhere, just like you do yourself.
If you're talking about the one and only other half, which is called the Twin Ray, he/she won't have another one of those, as there's only two in a set: you and him/her, rendering your question pointless.
Oh and for your information, most people don't get together with their one and only other half, as they're not ready for such a connection yet.
So if you happen to get in a relationship with a soul-mate or twin-soul (which you have more than 1 as well), be happy :D

Technically your soul mate could never have a different soul mate. That's why the two would be "soul" mates, ment for each other from their souls. Somebody only have one "soul mate", so therefor your soul mate can not have another, for if they did you two wouldn't be soul "mates". Now if they see this or recognize you two being this way is another story.

but how would we know for sure that we have the "correct" soul mate?

You would know in your soul, deep inside you that you have found "the one". That is in fact if you believe in "soul mates". Any two people would work if the two wished for it to work. Relationships only stop lasting when at least one of them thinks they can do "better" or be happier with someone else, or however you wish to spell it out lol.

I agree and it makes more sense than the idea of some kind of preordained soul mate. In that scenario, you could be with the one you think is your soul mate but then meet your "cosmically ordained " soul mate late, throwing your first relationship awry.

I am not sure I agree that because someone is my soul mate that I would necessarily fall in love with them romantically. What if my soul mate was a woman???surprised waving

lol cute video/song. But true, again it's how much the two are willing to "work" together to make it work. Takes, time patience, and sincere desire.

The soul mate idea is a nice romance story I guess lol. But illogical. You know the odds of two meeting one another that were ment to be together from when they were born? One would have to believe in our lives being totally ran by destiny in every exact way in every precise second of your life being already "written". We move different places for different reasons, there would be absolutely no way for the two to meet unless again you believe in the already written life story. And if one is going to believe in that, where's the fun? The excitement? That would ruin any and all "surprises" for nothing would be a surprise if that were the case.

Just like another wolves story.
They say there will be a pull. You can scent your mate, feel the electricity in the air. Wait until your mate claims you.

I'm not yet convinced there is a soul at all.

But entertaining the idea that there is one; naturally, that would mean they are not your soul mate.
