Sometimes I need to feel the pain
Sometimes I really need the tears

Emotions creep in on me like a slow moving storm
Lingering and drowning me in it's cold dark rain

I seek the depths of my soul today
Searching feverishly for relief from the pain

Empty shadows whispering
Emotions in an uproar

The sunshine is coming back to me
Pushing the beast back deep inside
I know there will be days like today
I know in time it will pass
Focus on the positive brings me back
Another moment will come to me again
One that will embrace the true me
One that will see who I really am
That moment will arrive I know
It's going to be a battle for sure
Once that moment enters my life
I will embrace it as I always do
