I found it interesting that many people from this website think their reality or ideas are the only ones that exist. I like learning about different things or even having a good debate where I might understand a person better, even if I don't join their side. But I just can't apapologize for being who I am.

Well yeah we are live in a similar world but each experience our own individual reality. There is no need to apologise for being you, providing you are being you and not thinking you are being you by behaving like someone else in that sense.

I agree dreamer - it's awesome to talk to others about different things and learning from those conversations. Bottom line - people have their own beliefs and it's a real shame that some people are so closed-minded not to let others' ideas be shared!

Perhaps they're afraid they may change their mind after believing something forever! I enjoy a good conversation and will sometimes even play devil's advocate just to get the other person thinking!

Whoever is getting you to change your mind must be an idiot. Be glad you never back down. Who'd want to change themselves just to make someone like them? If they don't loike what they see, they don't have to look or listen. Nobody is so superior that they should ever think they CAN change someone. Not sure they'd be worth talking to. They sound controlling.
