Each DS has its merits, although some seem to have none at all. Not unlike finding the right pub/club for you. You gotta test them to find out. And learn. If you don't learn, you won't get anywhere (in life) really.

I'm not sure that I follow you. Why can't I find love here? There are local women on here that do date men that they meet on here and it's way better than the singles club that I tried, although I know someone that did meet her partner at that same singles club.

You said yourself that you met one of your boyfriends through a dating site. The Americans are irrelevant if you aren't American and don't buy into the hype about the forums being the way to meet people on here. If this site doesn't suit you, then it just doesn't suit you but how much of a chance have you really given it? It's all about the atitude that you have about it. When I first tried internet dating it was on a British based site and there were far more local people to choose from but I thought that it was hopeless and I didn't meet a single woman from there. I took a completely different atitude to it when I decided to give internet dating another go a year and a half ago and I've been getting dates and girlfriends. There are all sorts of people on here and that does make it like a looking for a needle in a haystack sort of thing but that's always the case with any dating service. I've found love before by just aproaching strangers in the real world and this is no different really. This sort of thing suits me and I've always got on better with women that don't muck about by putting up roadblocks and making you jump through hoops. You can't trash a site by saying that you can't find love on here if you are the one that's refusing to date the men. All you can say is that you aren't impressed with the emails that you're getting. I think that you're putting the cart before the horse and looking for a click before a meeting and it doesn't really work like that.

Big deal. That's like saying that Americans matter if you want to use the internet because they invented it. I like chatting with Americans on internet forums but that has bugger all to do with the dating that I'm doing.

I'm also grateful for the light bulb but actually, what you seem to be forgetting is that the electronic components that modern computers use are alien technology.
