if we break romance down to its basic function--youll find its quite shallow in form. By definition it is "an intimate sexual relationship between two people[1]. It is an exaggerated[2] or decorated expression of love[3]. It also refers to a feeling or excitement associated with love."

So if we use Romance as a feature with expression by sexually by 2 ppl, and not just romance between platonic friends..we find that it is the sexual attraction with others.

Therefore, without sexual attraction (and this makes perfect sence)..there cannot be this concept of romance. After sexual attraction is found...both parties must continually stimulate one another to keep the 'romance alive.'

So, topics that seek 'Romance' should be changed to better suit what ppl are looking for....Sexual attraction 1st...personallity 2nd.

If that is what the dictionary said then it needs updated.

Romance is little gestures, big gestures its everywhere. Its what the two involved consider romance.

Someone knowing that you had a rough day at work who prepares dinner, and says go relax in a hot tub, I will take care of things for dinner........that is romantic.

A woman who loves to build things with wood would love a gift of sandpaper, and wood that is romantic

A man who loves to cook would love a special set of pots and pans he has had his eye on that is romantic

Its what you make of it not what the stores, the dictionary tells you.

if u dont have anything in common.then theres no point in a realtionship.

keeping the realtionship alive means surprising the person with a weekend of things you both like to do then the sex should be the bouns cuz u spent time and showing the other person affection and let them know they are loved and appreciated

What Im saying is that romance is done between ppl that are sexually involved with one another--that is the ONLY reason to date/marry someone.

You can do anything with a intimate partner you can do with a friend (IE concerts/movies/dining out/travel/etc etc)--the only benefit to date/marry someone is for sexual advances.

I give up I am going to believe what I believe

to keep a relationship going you have to be willing to give, and to take and keep the romantic gestures going............cause what do you do if the sex dies, and you still have love in your heart for each other............what about the cuddles, the hugs, the kisses...........

"so again the mans only gain is sex while a womans wants to be connected and really know thier partner"

I wanna hear from 1 women in this forum that does things such as 'hot dinner waiting on the table after a long day at work, or back rubs when a mans back is sore, or cruises to the Bahamas, from someone that is NOT sleeping with that person.

so to your above post..thats exactly what Im saying!

You can be romantic without sex being the motive. There's a lot more to it than that.

Sure you can...but what im saying is that your romatic actions are done with someone you are sexually active with.
