I think there's different levels of niceness. Any guy can tell me he's nice, or sweet, but I'll only believe it, if I see his behaviour when I meet him offline. Saying it on some dating forum, will never be enough to convince me. Again, maybe there's a clue in how they present themselves. Especially with negative attitudes. Like, how I think when a guy says "I open doors for women, I treat them nice, I leave a trail of rose petals............". What guy HASN'T said that on a dating forum? . And if so-called nice person, isn't really nice, then that's probably why they're single, but can't accept that?

Why do nice girls finish last the ones who try Why would you be trying to be a nice girl? If a woman is nice then that's a natural thing, but if you're trying, or pretending to be nice when you're not normally, it will show through eventually. There will be other factors to why you ' finish last, ' as you put it, but you ain't gonna tell us the complete picture eh? You could be a bunnyboiler, too clingy, etc, for all we know?

Why do nice girls finish last the ones who try seems like niceness needs a balance point, when it tips, it's time not to be nice... but being nice is always a good thing, it's not your fault people see it as a weakness... some people are really worth being nice to, while a lot more others are not.. welcome to mingle

Stipulating that you are genuinely nice, my thinking is that you are being nice to the wrong people (in a relationship sense). A SHORT TALE: I had a friend who was very nice but her former boyfriends had been in the habit of beating her up on a regular basis. A "nice guy" that we worked with had tried dating her but she always refused. One day while she lamented her lack of success with men, I asked her why she didn't give our coworker a chance. He was a good fellow and made a good living. She said, "he's not my type. I then asked if all her ex-boyfriends had been her type. She replied, "yes". I responded, "Your type kicks your ***. Maybe you need a new type". I hope my example is more extreme than your experience, but the math is the same.

I don't know why they finish last on my track of finding them?! :))) I prefer nice girls. I thought that the nice guys finish last though...
