Topic: Change up those pictures | |

Many folks here change pictures. It shows me the profile is more real and also shows the creativity they possess.
I see quite a few active profiles with the same pics they put on years ago. What inspires ya'll to mix it up? |

What inspires ya'll to mix it up? When I first joined, I made a promise to myself to keep my profile pictures current...Every year I add one or two that are current...The picture I'm using now was taken 10 days ago....I do it because I want people to know what I look like now, not five or ten years ago.... |

Well, these pictures that I'm using were taken a few months ago and I haven't had my hair cut since then. The older pictures I've got were taken over a year ago and my hair is even shorter in them and some dude on here said something about how I dress boring and that even my haircut was boring.

the profile is more real and also shows the creativity they possess. What inspires ya'll to mix it up? I am real. I try to be creative, and it depends, what I'm trying to express about my personal interest at the time. I change pictures because life is about changes. Nothing stays the same... Right now I'm just interested in what's happening in the world around me. |

Neither I'm proud of,nor I'm afraid of how I looks.I post my pics which are recent.
Neither I'm too fat nor too thin, neither I'm too short nor too heighten still I prefer too put close up pics showing my clear face than to post full body pics unless those are taken at some distinct locations. Neither I'm very rich nor very poor, neither I'm fond of latest fashions nor I'm old fashioned guy still I don't wear any special dress for having my pics. One more thing,I never took a special pic for placing on any of my profile. I believe, exhibiting whatever am I really acts as a filter mesh for restricting those from approaching me,who are not of my type. yeah..it's me. |

While I agree with the idea of having a reasonably accurate photo I think it is ridiculous to go through a lot of hoops to keep putting up photos for the small changes that happen.
Something radical like a major weight change, extreme hairstyle change, major disfigurement or ambulatory impairment yes I would find that offensive. If it is something that might make you vunerable NO I do not recommend advertising that to the whole world. That is what a follow up email and photo exchange is for. What I have found is people pretty much see what they want to see. My lead shot clearly shows I am very grey headed at this point. My age is exact. My profile clearly states I am retired, and empty nester, and I am consistently stating I am multiple times a Grandmother. I even took down the shots of myself and my grandchildren so there was no implication they were my children. Which was pretty ridiculous to me because I was 50 when the picture was taken so hardly the age to be a parent of elementary age children. But I have people contact me and assume I am the one in the middle of the ten year range of pictures. I just try to explain nooooooooooh I don't want to back track ten+ years and be a soccer Mommy I am more interested in being a Groovin Grandma |

Your style is yours. Keep on truckin! So right Willing. Some of the folks who include "art" and favorite clothes, even their work uniforms, are the most interesting to me because the body is only a small part of the package. I could never cut it with someone who is really stuck on appearance or didn't have some kind of creative side. Some is a little edgy for me day in day out but I am more likely to pick someone that has a "style" and isn't to chicken to express it. Never given a hang who I am seen as or pretty much with because it is really more about how they behave. I may ask or even tease about a signature garment but way I look at it is if you consistently put it out there then it must mean something to you and it is fair pickings to address it. Twat knows I "yuck it up" (joke) with him sometimes about his leather pants but probably if I dug far enough back in my wardrobe I could find my leather skirt. Now if I could get my hiney in it would be another story. hahahahahaha |

Mine shows I lost a lot of weight and am stylin' a hoodie. Well, Willing, I have always been partial to the cowboy hat but the handlebars underneath are kind of cute too. lol |

Some of us choose not to let everyone see our pictures, as we don't think that everyone needs to know what we look like. I'm not attractive at all, so I would much rather have a woman notice my personality 1st, then just writing me off because of my looks. *my opinion*

It does seem you don't trust women enough to show them all of you. Look at my profile. I am an old MF, you are young. I am a fatass, can't tell about you. I am bald, are you? We all have our defects, son. Let it all hang out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LgVMMdOplHw#t=48 Any gal or dude gives you grief, let me know. I'll get on them like white on rice. |

I add pictures whenever I feel like it. Also to have an up to date picture.

I change mine when I want to and do not post the same pic on any other social media site. Sometimes I feel a little flirty and will post a pic for a week and delete it after. All my pictures are less than a year old.
