It finally happened. Hollywood has discovered high taxation that it doesn't like.

Here is an excerpt from a story published by DailyCaller.com.

You know things are bad when Hollywood liberals are asking California for a tax break.

Film Works, an entertainment-industry advocate organization, recently launched an online petition asking California's film and TV enthusiasts to lobby lawmakers to create greater incentives for production to stay within state borders. . .

. . . Many leading businesses and organizations involved in the entertainment industry recognize how California's tax-heavy policies are threatening the survival of the film industry and have thus aligned themselves with Film Works, demanding that California Gov. Jerry Brown sign into law legislation that will re-energize one of the state's major cash industries.

Among the comments in the story's "Comments" section are these:

Hey lefties, what effect do you think California's high taxes have on other industries? How about all of the Californians that have lost jobs because of this states insane tax policies?

I couldn't agree more. It's time for those RICH movie and tv stars to pay the highest tax rates in the country.

Hollywood's tax rate should be 50% and the Federal Rate should be 50%. Then the liberals who get off on making commercials telling the rest of us that we don't pay our fair share can rejoice in paying their fair share.

Who here thinks that Hollywood is needing this?

Who will they lobby us to bail out next?

Let's see.....

We've bailed out banks, the auto industry, green power, savings and loan, Al Qaeda, everyone with foreign aid, the unions in general, colleges, big pharma, soon the insurance companies (thanks to the ACA), hell, the movie industry that is trying to lay SOPA and PIPA on us now wants their bail out.......

They'll get it, at our expense of course.

Ask anyone in gov't, there's plenty to go around when you have 300+ million piggy banks the FED/IRS can steal from to help their campaign supporters!

like everyone else is told

the jobs are out there
pick yourself up by your bootstraps
everyone can find work

I think Los angelies is doing better than all other states in the entertainment industry, with possible exception of new York

relative to the globe America has pretty lenient tax rates

That's what a ghetto ho friend says.

Her 5 kids can use a upgrade on the wi-fi, Jordans, grills, she would even consider pushing out another ghetto rat.

to be fair, since Moore does documentaries, he doesn't really film on California sets

and since he lives in Michigan, he probably pays Michigan tax rates,,,

I think the issue here is the hypocrisy of the Elite, Liberal, self absorbed Hollywood showtunes who have promoted every possible welfare program and entitlement that the state must somehow pay for, and now want to be exempt from the cost of what they promoted.

I think we need to not apply guilt by association here , being that the post is simply about ONE ADVOCACY group and not every individual in the entertainment industry,,,

Lots of businesses are leaving California, as are those who are willing to relocate to find jobs; most of the people who are moving to my former home state are looking for the easy life off the generous Welfare=Slavery, just stand in line and vote Democratic, payouts as those who remain are paying ever higher taxes as the Slaves keeps voting for more and more Welfare as the State grows even more powerful.
A Government large enough to provide everything, is powerful enough to take everything; glad that I'm living elsewhere.

especially after the age of say,, 30

like I Said, I doubt we run in similar circles,,,

Isn't the internet wonderful?

We can all profess fairytale lives.

One welfare ho, friend says she's well educated and qualified to work pretty much where she chooses. But, chooses not to cuz welfare pays more.

She's a welfare ho, no?

They won't like socialism once they discover how much it will cost them.

Liberals preach socialism until it taps their wallets.

rarely do people who use words like ghetto ho or
**** it or jackasses,, have a background where they were taught anything about 'great' attitudes or ethics,,,
