all i can say if all of us never had a number for an age... then what...wed all just be people looking for different ways to measure up someone....ive been with very nice ppl from 25 to 50 and personality is the key...age should never be a factor just because someone has been around less or more

Since I got divorced I have been meeting either guys on their 20's or on their 50's as a general rule. I have met a few that are on their 30's as well but not that many. I have always wondered when young is too young and old is too old.

so which one u like more? older or younger?

Young is too young and old is too old when they can't stay awake past 10pm...

Depends on the person but from the ones I have met I would have to say that I like younger better.

compatibility is more key than age

I wouldn't want to be a social 30 year old and hook up with a fifty or sixty year old who just wanted to relax and had already done their socializing

Id likewise hate to be a 30 something single parent devoted to taking care of the home and the family and hook up with a 20 (or 5o) year old whose primary interest was partying and fun,,,,

its about being at compatible stages of life, sometimes age can be somewhat an indication of what stage someone MIGHT be at,, but it is certainly no guarantee

Usually guys between the ages of 18-25 are the ones who are interested in me (or younger, but talking legally age and + ). I think older/more mature guys would become annoyed with me due to my interests (video games, anime, cartoons, rock bands lol )........I also look incredibly young for my age. Some people even mistaking me to be a 15-year-old irl if I don't wear gobs of make-up. (And I am 28!) So unless guys have kept a strict teenaged boy mindset into their older years, yeah, they'd not have much fun with me.........

Age is just some number attached to someone, but love is what someone is made of. So if u love someone, age is alway secondary

I could probably go 8-10 years either way. Anything more I have a feeling it would be too much of an age gap.

I believe age difference does not matter it's a personal choice for the two people involved.

Another perspective is the "Social Acceptance" of age difference, what does society view as an acceptable age difference?
Searching the internet, I found what is known as the 50% + 7 Rule, to determine the minimum and maximum age of a socially acceptable partner.
An example was given as follows for someone aged 40, that is when X = 40. the age of a partner should fall between the two ages calculated as follows.

Minimum age = 1/2(X) + 7 = 1/2(40) + 7 = 27 years old

Maximum age = 2(X - 7) = 2(40 - 7) = 66 years old

Interesting and I can only assume it was arrived at from a statistical survey, from asking people. Here is the web address if interested.
