today i was presented with a request most of you know i write poetry its my life as was chris i asked the captin of his platoon to put my poem with the flowers and stuff he said he would but then he asked if it was ok to use the poem as a marker i was so honored but then i started to cry not just a tiny bit but as if someone was trying to kill me or something i guess thats when it finally hit me....there had been no mistake he really is gone and hes not comin back was this reaction normal or am i just crazy?

we all deal with grief differently. who is to say what is normal or not? as for me, it does not sound like left field. Best to youflowerforyou flowerforyou

I think it is very normal for something like a death to not "sink" in right away. I think it is a defense mechanism ....until we are actually capable of mentally dealling w/ the event...flowerforyou

you are not crazy, you are human , and WE ALL deal with it differently, that is why its called an emotion I believe.

As has been said already, we all deal differently ... my advice is to NOT hold it in .. when it comes let it out .. :) ...

When you loose someone you love it takes time for reality to sink in it is a hard road to travel there is no magic words to make the hurt go away and at times even months down the road those same feelings will all of a sudden come up. flowerforyou

To me...crying is a release of tension. We all know how much you loved Chris and it is perfectly normal to miss him so much...to tears.

its even worse today because he did a lot for this country i dont really wanna say what they did to him but he made it through that hell and what killed him was lung cancer

1 day, 1 month, 1 year, who is to say how long it takes to adjust and be able to cope with the loss of a loved one???
there is no time table. you will know when the time is right.flowerforyou
