Was getting ready for work and the tv was on. At first we thought it was some strange movie then it dawned on us as we watched in real time the 2nd plane hit. All we could do is sit there in shock.......terrible day

On this day I was at work. I was outside a patient's room getting ready to walk in. The patient had their tv on I could hear the commotion. As I walked thru the door I looked up and seen the second Tower hit.
I really didnt know what I had just seen. It was all so foggy, the news reporter in the background. I could barely hear him as my mind was trying to absorb the vision my eyes just took in. How mind numbing as I stood there with that patient laying in bed. I dont even know how long I stood there. As I reflect back it seems like that moment was longer then all the hours of televised after events. Its like a frozen moment in time for me. I cant imagine how people that went thru it in real time could press on thru such a horrible life altering moment. God Bless them all. |

I had just returned from 41 days of vacation and 7040 miles travelling on my motorcycle. Celebrated my birthday on september 10 with family and freinds. Was at work by 6 a.m. Stepped out of my truck at 7:53 a.m. Right on a nail. I looked down to see the point looking right up at me perfectly impaled right through my foot. I was in the hospital and watched the whole incident unfold before my eyes live on CNN. With all my counterterrorism military experience I knew exactly who, why, where, when, and how. I was sickened beyond belief and crushed physically and emotionally. Its a different world now. A bitter, tougher world. I have no solutions. I harbor no ill toward anyone. If anything I may have one question: in our modern life right now at this moment which makes more sense; to go out of our way to protect our capitalistic lifestyle, our money, our business ventures or does it make more sense to protect our people our greatest natural resource. Without americans savage cowards would rule the earth not the meek. Without american blood europe would still be a mess from world war two. Without the sacrifice of the greatest soldiers on earth the list of overrun countries would be greater than it is. Go to the netherlands. Tell them you're an american. When they are hugging, and sobbing and thanking you for their liberation realize how really bad they had it in ww2. Go to normandy. Talk to those alive. Hear their stories. Go to kuwait which was a beautiful, peaceful country until sadaams savages invaded it and destroyed everything leaving all the oil wells burning, structures in ruins, and even burning the sacred biblical garden of eden on its border of iraq. Talk to kuwaitians. Our media plays on our fears. Support our soldiers. Fly our flag. Get involved with your youth and your community. An american soldier gives a rigid salute with his hand. It is the only salute in the world like it and I have given the salute a million times. It is the salute where you motion with your hand as to never let those you salute see the bottom of your hand. This is because in all american history we have never surrendered and shown the palms of our hands in surrender in ANY war or conflict EVER! And by my god I never will surrender or give up on my land, my country, my god,my fellow soldiers, or my people. I fought hard for my freedoms and I celebrate my liberties every waking moment. God bless those gone but not forgotten and godspeed to all.

I was driving to work as they announce the Twin Towers had been hit. At that moment my heart sunk and tears were shed. It is a moment in time that will forever be etched in my brain.
So much pain all because of hate. |

this song says it all: by Alan Jackson
here is a song that says it also by Alan Jackson Where were you (When The World Stopped Turning)" Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day Out in the yard with your wife and children Working on some stage in LA Did you stand there in shock at the site of That black smoke rising against that blue sky Did you shout out in anger In fear for your neighbor Or did you just sit down and cry Did you weep for the children Who lost their dear loved ones And pray for the ones who don't know Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble And sob for the ones left below Did you burst out in pride For the red white and blue The heroes who died just doing what they do Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer And look at yourself to what really matters I'm just a singer of simple songs I'm not a real political man I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you The difference in Iraq and Iran But I know Jesus and I talk to God And I remember this from when I was young Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us And the greatest is love Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day Teaching a class full of innocent children Driving down some cold interstate Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor In a crowded room did you feel alone Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her Did you dust off that bible at home Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened Close your eyes and not go to sleep Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages Speak with some stranger on the street Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow Go out and buy you a gun Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger Stand in line and give your own blood Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family Thank God you had somebody to love I'm just a singer of simple songs I'm not a real political man I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you The difference in Iraq and Iran But I know Jesus and I talk to God And I remember this from when I was young Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us And the greatest is love I'm just a singer of simple songs I'm not a real political man I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you The difference in Iraq and Iran But I know Jesus and I talk to God And I remember this from when I was young Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us And the greatest is love The greatest is love The greatest is love |

Thank you all for your support. My prayers are with those who lost loved ones or the ones who were deployed. May God be with each and everyone of us.
Tell someone today that you love them..you never know it might be the last time you are able too. I love you all here. You have been so awesome with my situations going on. |

A bit late, but anyway, I was working the drive thru at McDs, and I noticed all these people listening to the news on the radio, which I thought was odd because it was the same broadcast. So finally no customers were coming so I went to the break room and turned on the T.V. and saw something about a plane hitting the building. And I laughed cause I thought "how the hell do you hit a building, they are hard to miss!" And I had to run back and take more orders and saw that the building fell (I didn't know another plane hit the other one). And I laughed then too because it seemed all too movie like. So now every year I feel like the biggest douche bag for laughing at people dying O_o
