Good points raised, Harry.

Ingroups and outgroups, us and them, we and they....separating, dividing, distancing....

We have enough of that 'out there' in the world, outside our door..

Human nature will always struggle to separate....to define, however, we are all One...and WE are JSH...all of us.

Good morning all, Monday's a ripper!flowerforyou laugh

Hi Leeflowerforyou smooched

I prefer to get along with people if at all possible. If not I will try to avoid any sort of confrontation. It's simply not worth it.

Hi JSH,

It's a big world isn't it? I like many of the comments that I have seen up here. It's a good thing to look at how other people think. It helps us learn about ourselves. BTW this thread was made based on others not understanding why people have to be negative, in the middle of something positive. For those of you who might think that the people who wanted this question answered may be dividers, I assure you that this is not the case.

Sometimes you have to put your foot down and say take a look. If you don't you can see something go down hill into a world of mediocrity pretty quick. Let me give you an example. Let's say a group of people are about to spend a million dollars for something and you know that something else for a hundred dollars does a better job. Are you going to stay quiet or speak up? I face this question every day. The people who work with me, live with me, think with me, and plan with me, have to be on their toes. If not the plan doesn't work and time, money, and feelings are all wasted. The same process happens in our personal lives whether we think it does or not.

I admit I'm fortunate. I do what I like, and I like what I do. I don't need an escape from what I do. My clock never turns off. Does this make me an us or them? I don't know. What I do know is we all are different. We are all unique, and special. Most of all everyone deserves the right to be heard, and helped.

So how do you make the world one, and still be a unique individual? I personally feel that we should let someone follow through with their entire thought process without shutting them down. As you can see I'm not alone. Look at how many people are reading this, and look at how many points of view there are. I look at points of view as bits of info to make me a bigger, and better person. It doesn't matter if I agree at the moment, or not. What matters is that another person had a thought. Yes, I "DO" have a responsibility to that persons thoughts, and I do have a responsibility to have respect for that thought.

A "Thread Killer" is someone who cuts in front of someone else who might have something very important that they need to get out. These types of people might as well be putting a knife in the persons back. A thread killer is someone who talks, but doesn't listen. In my world, I call this the need for "fair exchange". A thread killer hates the thought of an open fair exchange.

One thing that I don't buy in to at all, is sitting still while someone is being hurt, or going through a tough time. We all hear the words family up here, but if you say these words it ties you into a responsibility, even if it is letting a person make their point. Do we think that they are not making it for a purpose? Does it even matter if it is high on your own personal list?

If you come here to have fun, do it. If you come here to be serious, do it. But if you come here to be disruptive, you are going to have people "like me" for one who is going to say something. I have walked away from JSH a couple of times. Some of you have also. What is it then that pulls us back. For me it is the fact that I care. It doesn't matter if someone agrees or disagrees, it's a matter of do I want to be a responsible, productive person or not.

And yes!! I'm very interested in your point of view. I also thank all of you for sharing and wish you well.
