curious what signifies 'loyalty' to a country?

is it not seeing any other countries?

not caring about any other countries?

not being attracted to any other countries?

how does a 'loyalty' manifest, in terms of action?

Read your Constitution, and you might get an idea!bigsmile

the constitution also gives no definition or explanation of 'loyalty' to a country

You need to be able to read between the lines Harmony!...Ever hear of implied meaning?slaphead

Actually it does and it's quite clear. Please look up the work treason.

You might want to look up Faithfully also.

Section. 3.

He shall from time to time give to the Congress Information of the State of the Union, and recommend to their Consideration such Measures as he shall judge necessary and expedient; he may, on extraordinary Occasions, convene both Houses, or either of them, and in Case of Disagreement between them, with Respect to the Time of Adjournment, he may adjourn them to such Time as he shall think proper; he shall receive Ambassadors and other public Ministers; he shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed, and shall Commission all the Officers of the United States.

Section. 4.

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

Since you don't know, I will give you a lay version.

Lack of treason. Lack of good faith.

so, being loyal to a country is merely not committing treason and having 'good faith',,,,,,,ok

that clears it up,,,lol

treason:
The betrayal of one's own country by waging war against it or by consciously or purposely acting to aid its enemies.

I am an American because I was born here.

I am a little worried about the people running the country as I think some of them are traitors to the American People.
