It's not all about being physically threatened. A lot of scammers with use your name and pictures to scam other people. The less info you give the more they have to make up and chances are the more they'll mess up on the stories they make up. If I felt physically threatened then carrying a gun would make me feel safer. hahaha |

Like Painte I rarely mail a man first. I find men do it quite easily, often in their first mail. I hardly ever tell anyone my name. I don't feel the need nor desire to tell just about everyone my name. Often you exchange a few mails only, so what's the point? Only when there's more exchange and I feel comfy. Otherwise I just use Crystal. This ^^^^ Unless its a forum member-there,i can email,to tease or say hello! |

Otherwise I just use Crystal. Yeah, that's another thing, you get guys who email once or twice and you never hear from them again, so you figure why bother to really get to know them? Giving out a name feels pretty personal, to me anyway... I agree! I dont share my name,unless am comfy with it! A few emails dont warrant it either! |

I have no problem sharing my name with my friends even though a lot of them refer to me as Lions anyway.
My real name is JohnPaul named after the pope who hung out with u2.  For some odd reason when people read my nametag they say my name with a fake french accent for some reason. Never understood why considering both names in my first name John and Paul are both of hebrew origin. My family usually calls me by Paul or Paully since I have an older brother Jonathan and he goes by Jon. Most of my friends call me Paully as well. Like Mark said Earlier I don't have any fear of my name getting out there nor do I have anything to hide so it really doesn't matter to me.
