I agree. I think people can make the same "mistakes," or what we perceive as mistakes as part of the nature of being human.....even as they are learning and trying not to make mistakes. sometimes mistakes can be in a gray area....what might drive you nuts might be something I would just say..."eh, whatever" about....a big thing to one person being less significant to another. I am not sure we can always "remove the possibilty." if you have made a mistake in a love situation, that means you will not try to love again? that seems a little pessimistic. by your own philosophy here, we have to come over and take the stoop away...lol When the mistake becomes comparable to a broken record it is best to look within to find the problem, that is all I have done...Looked inside, figured out the problem, and removed the possibility of it hindering me or others later. I'm not pessimistic, I am realistic...And I have loved once, but I'm of the frame of mind that the once in a lifetime thing doesn't happen but once, and in that I hinder the possibility of future relationships. I'm okay with that, I find most relationships to be a waste of my time and all of them ended due to my inability to emotionally attach myself to the "Us." That in and of itself is a problem far larger than me, or anyone else. thanks for the clarification. I think I may have misunderstood some of what you were saying. The problem is I have no scope of emotions, I don't understand why people feel the way they do in whatever situation they find themselves in. When I am presented with a problem I logically find a solution, where emotions are present, the solution is often better for me to just walk away. The best way to put it is that I see life like The Matrix, only not 1's and 0's...I see it in differing shades of grey. :) even in the matrix the people slipped in and out of the discrete 0-1, blck - white...etc emotions are hormones....reactions....beyond our COMPLETE control, but perfectly normal....have you asked others why they feel the way they do? In most cases I also wait until emotional feelings pass before making major decisions, or speaking out on something. That is not always possible in real life situations, but it is a benchmark I try to achieve also. Emotions are a good guidepost to the need to think. But emotions should not comtrol decisions (my thought anyway) so walking away sometimes is an excellent choice |

I got lucky in that though, it left my cerebral cortex relatively undamaged, but closer into the inside of my brain I took considerable damage due to the trauma of the impact...I'm sort of a miracle, really, there aren't many head injuries that leave the cortex undamaged. |

What was amazing is that other parts of the brain will assume part or all of lost functions due to trauma. that could be happening now without you realizing it...or with you realizing, I suppose. |

You look like a man of action :) and I agree, we all need another chance sometimes. I do give those also as long as the offense wasn't total deal breaker |

Perhaps, but to this point I haven't seen it...Most emotions I've never felt, such as anger or sadness, both of which I have no concept of; really, outside of happy, I have no concept of any other emotion. |
