It's funny now... but I was a little, teeny tiny bit hurt, when I posted a pic from 2009 and a guy got SUPER P'ssed off because it was 5 years ago he says! I laughed cause I thought he was joking because the REST of my pics were CLEARLY marked 2012 or 2013!
He says " Your Pictures aren't current...blah, blah, blah" !!
I'm defending myself saying " I posted that 2009 because I like the pic, but the rest are current"
Personally I think I looked better in the current then I did in the 2009 pic, but I liked the pic!
He stops texting and calling... this was fine with me! I didn't want such a shallow person!

Then I thought about it.... I got really angry when it hit me!
This guy just wasn't into me, but instead of manning up and saying" Tee, this isn't working out" He comes up with this BSHT excuse!

Also, does it really matter if someone posts a 5 year old pic? Unless you've been through some major ****, I can't imagine looking too much different 5 years from now. I look about the same in all of my pics, even the ones from 10 years ago.....

But yeah, some people are like that, he couldn't just say he was over the relationship, he had to make up an excuse. People like that are lame and not worth your time.

I dont get why people do this either. It recently happened to me. I would have been understanding and not nearly as hurt as I was with the lie.

Wasn't an excuse for me? It was a reason, as I told that person private and personal things, that nobody knew about me and she let her mate read all that. That was it! The trust was gone and goodbye! Anything she told me though will remain a secret, as it was told in confidence and I can respect that.

You have a right to put up any pictures you choose. If he wants to ask when they are taken I think it would be deceptive to give inaccurate answers but you don't have to subject yourself to the third degree just because some guy has a bug up his well you know about posting on up tot he minute photos.

I don't see anywhere it requires that we post "selfies" every time we sign on.

If someone is that paranoid then only converse of video feed sites. They are not probably get them for free or have that many women who will sign on often "to the world" but hey if they only want to communicate to a "presentable/acceptable" appearance they better not look in the mirror too often. lol

But this response is not unique to you. Why?; because I have a range of pictures on my profile and it is like some guys have "selective vision". Even though my profile text clearly states the children are grandchildren and my adult son in group photos and people are hitting me up to back track to the "Mommy" stage and co-parent? Duh!

My feeling is if anyone is not bright enough to grasp that often profile pictures are taken over a period of years and that my "48" in my profile name is not my stated age (nearing 60) which is clearly on my profile, they are more than a bit vague and not worth beating my brains out to "orientate".

Responding to potential matches is often a "weeding out" process. Hang in there eventually the cream does rise to the top.
