Did your marriage start with "will you marry me" or with "i've missed my period"?.I notice most marriages these days are triggered by the fact that the bride is pregnant, hence the need to plan for urgent wedding. Most people frown at such practice, what are your views?

My son had already been alive for two years before I married my ex. I didn't want our marriage to be solely about having our son. Didn't last anyway. I worked to much and she went and found attention else where two weeks after we got hitched. frustrated

No you misunderstood what I wrote. I didn't want to get married for the reason of having a kid. Thats why we waited. I did however learn that working to support everything wasn't worth missing out on family time. And to be quite frank it was a blessing in disguise. I was young foolish and learned the hard way how foolish I was. They say "the road to hell is paved in good intentions" for a reason.

It doesn't matter which way it started as long as you love each other.

If a marriage is totally dead in the water, best thing to do is to end it and everybody concerned can have a life again without the misery and depressing atmosphere, that enduring it causes!

both my children were conceived well after I Married their fathers,,

,my son a full five years after and my daughter a full two years after

I try not to judge... people in love and commitment can conceive at any time, whether before or after an actual wedding ceremony

of course if there doesn't seem evidence of love connection before the marriage and there is a pregnancy,, it becomes suspicious

The reason for the injunction that a Marriage should stay together stems from Feudalism, where most of the time the reasons for Marriage were economic, and Estates were laid together the Dissolution of which many times would cause Feuds between different Tribes or outright War!
At other Times Marriage was done to stop a Feud, and Divorce would have started it again!
