Good News Guys and Gals. Just heard from my daughter, NurseAud and she was diagnosed as having fibromyalgia musculoskeletal pain in her chest from the cold weather, so it is not heart related, thank goodness. The doctors have sent her home with an injection and pain medication to take, but she should be fine. I can't tell you how very much all your prayers and well wishes have meant to me and to my daughter. May you receive back tenfold the kindness and concern and love you have shown me and mine in our moment of crisis. I truly feel so much love from this community and truly feel that you are my family away from home. May you be blessed for your concern and please know how very much all of you are appreciated. My daughter, NurseAud, who is a new member to Mingle2 called me and said her daughter was taking her into the emergency room at the closest hospital with chest pains and shortness of breath. I am requesting prayers be offered up by the Mingle2 family on her behalf. Will update this post when any more information is received. Thanks in advance for your prayers! Very Concerned Mom, Missy. well thats good its not a myocardial infarction. FMS is a central nervous system (CNS)disorder, could be hereditary, possibly brought on by stress or elements but its the inability of the C N S to process pain properly, and is usually chronic |

It does beat having a heart attack however and she can control the pain with pain medications when needed.

Everyone, thank you so much, yes she is okay now, in a little bit of pain but has medication for that. Bless you all for responding with such love and concern. This group is just "The Best". Who would have ever imagined that this could come from a dating sight! I remain totally amazed!

Good morning (or evening/night for some)! I called Mom yesterday evening and told her what was going on with me and not to worry. I also asked her if she would be in the forums. I asked her to request prayers on my behalf because I know the power of prayer. I was at the ER for quite a while, but the news was good. I have suffered with fibromyalgia for over 20 years; however, the pain has never exhibited in such fashion. I had the typical symptoms of a heart attack (chest pain and tightness, shortness of breath, a little nausea), so, being a nurse, I knew I needed to take action. I had so many people praying for me, but I didn't know how many until I saw this thread. Not only did I have my family, friends, and church family praying for me, but I also had my mingle2 family praying as well. Even though many of you don't know me, you have displayed your faith by praying for me anyway, and it is greatly appreciated. I intend to eventually thank each of you individually, but, since the pain returned in the wee hours of the morning, I'm not up to the delightful task just yet. Please confine with your prayers as the pain continues. Also, as Mom mentioned, the anniversary of my husband's death approaches: 12/29, and it has been looming heavy on my heart. My love and appreciation goes out to each of you. Please let me know if I can ever return the favor!
