Why Good People should care

Not very specific.

I stated why I care.

Another reason this good person cares.

I want all who live here to show proof they are citizens or, are here legally.

He who has power makes the rules, it doesn't mean they live by them.

This admin is more secretive and corrupt than any before it. When you control the law, the courts, and the money, who can stand against you with any success?

They steal and call it taxes, they inflate and call it affordable because the banks will loan on your childrens future, they spy and call it security, they lie and call it misunderstanding.

We have a nation of caring people but we have a gov't of thieves enpowering other thieves with wealth stolen long ago by banker manipulation of congress.

Entitlement thru theft is not caring, it is enabling, and the results of those actions are more apparent today than at any other time in our history. Why? Because people are starting to realize how much $17 TRILLION dollars is as they struggle to put food on the table with a dollar that has lost 98% of its value.....

and BTW..... that figure is actually more like $122 TRILLION with unfunded liabilities included

You have placed your well being in the hands of a gov't lie, and then they take that lie from you, and the resources it has swallowed in its greed, you become nothing but a slave to their will because you have conceded your ability of self support to your illusion of security.

no illusion here,, point is STILL That people should care, without assuming the worst and taking the high horse to excuse a refusal to help

and I am glad to be in a place where we STILL plan some resources to help citizens when they are in need,,,,

its not greed to want to keep the money 'earned', nor is it greed to want to survive when there is no money available to 'earn'

its greed, when it is excessive, which it isn't if its only a matter of what is needed to survive,,,

you are an over-thinker lacking logic....enjoy your illusion when people have nothing left to give and your only resource is what your gov't deems necessary

if people truly have nothing left to give, that means they have nothing to spend which means we are all in trouble,, because in order to 'earn' there has to be something available to 'earn'

with the wealth attaining wealth at the rate they have, and the absolute need for haves and have nots,, Im not imagining the time when people have 'nothing left' is gonna be soon,,,,

well, unless the world is coming to an end in my lifetime,, and then there will be bigger fish to fry

You expect things to be there that WILL NOT exist! Water will be hard to get, food next to impossible, without a weapon you are indeed a victim, and all your support..... comes from an agency of gov't that will tell you what you are allowed....and it isn't much!

Police and Guard control crowds, not areas, the key word being control, the outter regions are being looted.... ask a Katrina survivor..... Ivan was no fun, and FEMA...... what a joke!

well, if its gonna happen, so be it

but meanwhile, in the REAL And PRESENT WORLD,, just getting through this week and his month, where food and water are abundant,,, is more my immediate concern for myself and others in need or 'crisis'

This is an interesting statement. I care about every Citizen IRRELEVANT if they pay taxes or not.....


Taxes are what provides for these 'resources' you keep touting, these resources are coming from people who 'worked' for them and given to those that are apparently 'incapable' of working for one reason or another.

I agree, maybe people who have jobs shouldn't pay taxes...after all it is irrelevant....however that also means no more money for assistance programs and people would have to "figure something out"

Most people I know on assistance if their check was cut off today, they wouldn't starve, sure they would change their circumstances drastically but I don't believe that they wouldn't survive. It is for this reason that I understand the view of it as a 'crutch' because if someone could figure out a way to survive AFTER it is cut off it stands to reason that they could of figured out a way to survive BEFORE they TOOK IT.


Saying that a women has a 'resource' but prays it never comes to that shows a lack of creativity in my opinion. Women have many resources available to them, especially mothers.

A customer base is a resource but one that you can CREATE
where a market may not have existed. If you live in an area where there are no people, than maybe moving is in order, before you say you need to money to move, you don't have to move all your possessions, you can sell them to a pawn shop, shut off your cable bill, buy a tent(with the money from selling your possessions) and hitchhike(even with a kid) to an area where there are more people so you can create your customer base. It may take awhile, and you may have to do things you don't like in order to get there but in my experience people do what the HAVE to do.

In my last apartment complex, I seen this homeless couple and they dug through the apartments dumpster every night, they walked up and dug through the trash to find things that they would then sell, I watched them for a number of years while living there, for about the first 6 months they were on foot, then they were on bikes with wagons pulled behind them, then later they were driving a small truck, and now they both have trucks and drive around offering free pick up of recycling, they created a job, and they created their own customer base, I admire that determination and I think it says something about the individual.

Mother's have many resources, caring for children, cleaning, cooking, and even typing is a SKILL and a RESOURCE as far as people having NO RESOURCES that is FALSE everyone has RESOURCES, it is there hands and feet, and mind these are all RESOURCES and TOOLS but one must figure out how to UTILIZE THESE RESOURCES

.and WHO is to determine that?

work creates the money that pays taxes,, whether the taxes are paid by taxpayers or not,, you ban bet people WORKED for that to be possible


many not earning enough to pay an INCOME Tax themselves are making it possible for someone else to earn more than enough,,,, its a wheel that keeps turning and not some immediate payoff


we live in a country of plenty, we live with access to quite a bit of convenience, need, freedom and safety, and in return it should be an obligation to CONTRIBUTE And GIVE BACK< whether its in effort through work (Even if its not earning enough to pay a tax) or whether its through taxes,, its the price for the blessings we do have in this country'




and people don't usually create a resource overnight, they usually don't see fruits from their resources overnight, and the TIME That assistance affords them to better prepare in the future is an important part of the cycle that would have not been there BEFORE The circumstance they found themselves in that they probably had no reason to expect

you learn from what you experience,, and experience should allow us to be prepared better in the future, but while we are learning and experiencing,, we sometimes need help WHILE WE prepare resources that we can fall back on,,,



there is always some excuse not to help, charities are not on every corner and in every community

and people have a million reasons why they wont give to them to,, the 'they might',,,,mindset

well, I cant give money to the homeless, they MIGHT spend it on drugs or alchols


I cant give money via taxes to the needy, they MIGHT Be spending it on junk food, or drugs, or a tv


I cant five money to the charities, they MIGHT be misusing it and spending it on their own salaries....

its shameful that we can have so much and still be griping over having a set aside to help people when they fall down,,,,

I've been called a penny pincher and was told I'm cheap because I saved and invested my money instead of being frivolous.


As a result of my actions when I had some major medical issues:
I was able to pay my house off after those medical issues.
I was able to pay all my medical bills when they were due.
I have no long or short term debt.

Most of those people who said I was cheap and a penny pincher are broke, complain about bills, try to get help from outside sources.

They all tell me I'm "lucky" that I don't have a house payment like them...I'm "lucky" I have no debt. Luck? I wasn't lucky, planning has nothing to do with luck.

I would rather be considered a self sufficient penny pincher that was able to successfully and efficiently deal with a major problem than a frivolous, financially irresponsible person who can't.

there is a reason to not be frivolous, that is the other extreme of being cheap

there is quite a large area in between the two

People still give to those people that THEY think that NEED it, but as i've stated before NEED is relative, and being forced to pay TAXES to contribute to OTHERS, our forefathers didn't agree with their government telling them HOW TO LIVE and part of living is EARNING and INCOME, and telling someone what they HAVE to do with the money they EARNED is essentially telling them HOW THEY SHOULD LIVE, and what they SHOULD BE DOING. Our country was founded by people who didn't believe that was the government's responsibility and CREATED a country where they DIDN'T HAVE TO LIVE like their GOVERNMENT wanted them to live.

If the government was always allowed to tell people WHERE to SPEND their EARNINGS slavery would still exist in this country. Think about it, When slavery was abolished legally, and it was REQUIRED to give someone a WAGE for the WORK(Resource) they did, what would have happened if it was up to the slave owners to decided WHAT THAT MONEY COULD BE SPENT ON? Would they truly be free? Nope.

Mandating what someone does with their money is a modern-day form of slavery.

As proof it was many years after slavery was abolished that slaves were allowed to PURCHASE land, so because they were not allowed to spend their money on WHAT they WANTED they still weren't really 100% free, it wasn't until they were ALLOWED to put their money WHERE THEY WANTED IT TO GO!

this is why we vote, and why the constitution grows with the culture and the times,,,

people decided that they didn't wish to support FORCED labor without pay, and that's a good choice

its also a good choice to care about the 'welfare' of others and to have that be an expectation of citizenship just as much as having 'allegiance to the flag'

Article I, Section 8, Clause 1:


The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.



taxes are a cost of citizenship, whether they be state, city, or federal

they are constitutional,, and there is no way that every dollar can be attested for based upon who contributed it and what they wish it to be spent on,,,

its a collective budget, some of the spending of that budget will be on things some people would rather it not be,,,,but none of those people can prove the sPECIFIC dollars spent on that thing were the dollars they contributed or the dollars contributed by those who do approve spending on that thing


the tax is like rent, whether you are only on a level to pay sales taxes, or city taxes, or whether you earn ENOUGH (With the privileges that come by being in that income bracket) to pay an INCOME Tax


no one is going to get to individually overlook everything the landlord spends it on to give their approval or disapproval


but if we are a family,, we should feel obligation to take care of family, or rather, help family take care of themselves in bad times,,,

aww and who determines the when spending is frivolous and not spending is being cheap?

Is it the same people who determine when wealth is "excessive"?

Or is this another liberal "common sense" value that conservatives are unable to understand? SMH

I don't want to tell anyone what to do with their money because I don't want anyone to tell me what I should do with mine. If a person doesn't care about saving money and planning for the future it's none of my business. I just don't want to pay for their decisions even if it's through my taxes.

TAXES are the responsibility of EVERY CITIZEN not just those in "HIGHER INCOME BRACKETS!" The problem people have is currently in the U.S 47% of Americans Pay ZERO in TAXES and those 47% RELY on the the other 53% to "take care of them" So if taxes are the responsibility of EVERY CITIZEN so are we to assume that just because someone is in a lower income bracket that they shouldn't SHARE that RESPONSIBILITY? I disagree with that.
