I too came across a few who are in this category...

They become friends with you... And, eventually come up with some story pplacing them in deep financial trouble.. And, try and get some money wired from us..

Beware of them. I am sure, we all are smart enough before giving money to any anonymous person. But, apart from that... dont waste your time talkin to these type of persons who you think play con with you.

Do not post names in the forums. There are scammers online and in the real world.

The admins here work tirelessly to get rid of them

If you see them, report and block. The site will take care of them

Use common sense and don't go off site. Off site is out of our jurisdiction and becomes a he said/she said

There are also good people in Nigeria. Don't you think it is wrong to label a certain people scammers? Scammers may be from any part of the world.

The truth is brother, so many of your fellow country men and women have done this for such a long time now that some people have just given up faith in you all and tar you with the same brush.

Its not nice I know, but this is a fact for a lot of people.
I live in London and have many friends from Nigerian decent with good educations and future prospects but the majority choose to to do these things.

Its a shame really.

Scams originate all over the Place!
It is counterproductive to single out a specific Nationality!
Just keep your eyes open when it does happen!

Scammers are everywhere be careful of simple seemingly harmless endearing things if someon e. Greets you having never spoken or met you before "saw your pcture or profile and just knew youare the one icannotlive without" or the person man orwoman reels you in after one month and starts calling you wife or husband and refers to you and the persons children as. Our kids then red flag! Happened to me twice. Not concrrned withmoney iost but rather the lack kf character the scammers have doing what they do my money comes with a price tag you turn honest sooner or later or honesty will haunt you for the rest of yourdays untill you are
