while you're busy looking for the perfect person , you'll probably miss the imperfect person who could make you perfectly happy... Well, that makes for a nice predicament ... It sounds like a very clever statement, but if this imperfect person is the perfect partner, why the he(k doesn't he/she speak up, step into the spotlight, buy you that cappuccino etc? And if he/she tried to, but you don't see it, then you're not ready meaning he/she is not your perfect partner at this very moment. Mind boggling, this. It's way too late for philosophy. |

I doubt that....most people aren't looking for perfection; if they're like me, they're just looking for someone who isn't an a s s.

while you're busy looking for the perfect person , you'll probably miss the imperfect person who could make you perfectly happy... why is it a woman's responsibiltiy to recognize this? I often wish that men would be a little more gentlemanly and recognize the need to step up to the plate like they did years ago. Women never had these types of concerns say 20-30 yrs ago, because the men we socialized with had no problems asking women out on dates or asking to walk us home.....this whole idea of expecting a woman to take the lead was completely foreign at the time. So I really think it has become harder for men and women because there is this power struggle over whose responsibilty it is to get things going. Even though it really doesn;t matter who contacts who first, I will say that if you are trying to get the attention of a woman over the age of 40-45, use a more traditional approach. I think it is the best approach for any woman, really, because it shows respect. |

that, my dear is a very controversial statement That it might be but religion aside the belief that no perfect "person" exists supports the OP's premise. |
