I'm all about some hot steamy Eroitca. and I've read alot! My Mom has No idea what Erotica is... I thought. Until , she proceeds to tell me about " 50 Shades of Grey"! What!
She was so excited and beaming about this damn book! Ok, 1st off... stop talking Mom! Later I come to find out it wasn't just her.. All of my Mom's bridge ladies, the church women, the 15 yr olds on the corner! I had enough! If another person recommended this generic erota lite book to me, I was going to scream! I have a free copy of this book, yet.. I have NO intentions of reading it. People say, "Well, how do you know you won't like it if you don't read it "? MY MOM LOVES THIS BOOK! That is the stop sign Right there! My erotica, will be HOT, Steamy, Shocking... it will leave you saying " Damn.. I can't believe he did that, but ....I want more" Let's here it... Who are your faves? I'll start with mine: #1 Cherise Sinclair- Club Shadowlands ( series) #2 Tiffany Reisz- Saints and Sinners ( series) Seven Day Loan, stand alone book #3- Lexi Blake- Masters and Mercenaries (series) I have more but, I'm not giving away all of my twisted loves! |

I never understood why people are bothered so much by 50 shades of grey. Whether it's good or not, it doesn't matter that much. It just shows that read about sex and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some people were so offended by it that they wants it banned for libraries!
Check out the Sinners on Tour series, by Olivia Cunning. |

Sounds a little like porn.
I never got into reading porn. I'm a hands on type of guy. I do like reading sensuality. That's hot! And is a great learning tool. |

Erotica.. sensuality ( same) I don't think you can really READ porn... Can you? Visualizing the cable guy with the sexy divorcee is just too much work, don't ya think? |

I know from the bdsm community much of the hoop-la was because the books are such an inaccurate portrayal of what the lifestyle is really like for the majority of people. Those unfamiliar with the community could reach very erroneous conclusions about it based on misinformation in them.

Porn is only about the act.
Sensuality is visual and sensory. Not necessarily leading to the act. Sing. You view them as the same? if so, what leads you to assume they are? |

I just have to comment...Sensuality is provocative, suggestive, subtle, and sexy...It allows to reader to use his or her imagination ....Pornography, especially hard porn is blatant, often crude, usually not that sexy, and leaves nothing to the imagination....

I just wanted to see why you thought these books were porn. Since they're not just about having sex, I don't see them as porn. |

I must say that I did read Fifty Shades of Grey..I have read 2 out of the 3 books and I actually told my Mom to read them. I truly think that every man should read these books and maybe there would not be so many divorces...but that is just my opinion.
I guess its different strokes for different folks!! I think they are great books and NO I did not get used copies, I bought new books!! |

And just Ewwwwww, ewwww, ewwwww!!!!! AND ANOTHER REASON WHY I LOVE MY KINDLE! I'm seriously thinking of getting an E-reader myself, but I find it so difficult to decide which one. Many of the books I read aren't available as E-book at all, Dutch books won't be available for Kindle, so if I get a Kindle I won't be able to read those on it. (And those are usually the heaviest books, which cause me problems) Then there's other E-readers from a huge Dutch bookstore, very similar to Amazon, but then I can't read Kindle books on them. Meaning I'd have to get two E-readers? (I might if they weren't so bluddy expensive!) I saw a Sony E-reader on Amazon, but from what I understand you can't read Kindle books on those either. Sigh ... I wished manufacturers would come up with one format for all. Commercial b*ll*x & marketing really sux at times! And I'm not even sure whether it makes for a pleasant read. Never used one. Never even seen one to be honest. What concerns me is reflection/sun glare on the screen. Can you read it properly outdoors? |

You can download free converters and convert from one format to another easily, so there would be no need for more than one ereader. You can also get an anti glare screen protector for cheap so there's no glare outside. |
