It really does.

Personally I think love is more dangerous than sex.

Sex even if it results in illness rarely takes the desire for life away to survive.

However love when it is lost can take the desire to live away if only so that another can live. A mother protecting a child or a spouse dying from lack of will to live after losing a mate. I know if it were not for my children I would have withered away in a matter of days after losing mine. I had to force myself to eat, sleep, ect. for months; really years.
