Do you often feel alone and isolated?

I am tired of that........how about you girls an' boys?

i once used 2 feel dat way but i realised that being free and friendly, occupying maself in social activities kills the loneliness

I make sure I'm never isolated because it's the perfect way to attract creeps.

Sometimes I have been known to isolate myself just for the peace of mind it brings me, but totally isolated, as in no human contact at all, no; Alone? I am never alone. I carry the people I love close to my heart always even though their physical bodies may not be present at that moment. Especially my father.

There's being isolated and alone and FEELING isolated and alone.
Technically speaking I am quite isolated and alone, as I am on my own, my family doesn't live around the corner, except for my son, but he has a very busy life.
I do have enough friends though and I never feel alone or isolated. I got plenty of things to do, I can truly enjoy being on my own.

Sure, I get bored and lonely. I'm spending time here posting on internet forums after all.

I'm a bit of a loner though and don't need lots of so-called "friends" or a big social life that's going to take up a lot of my time.

Do prefer it when I've got a girlfriend though. Really missed that after I broke up with my ex but it can be enough to just know that you have somebody, without having to see them all the time, or having to text or email all day.

IT often feels alone TBH. specially if your away from home, or you think you should not show it cos creeps will take advantage of it or your son has a lively and busy life style! or internet forums, and many other reasons...all true indeed...

we have all got reasons to be so...but the best way is to engage, participate, communicate...

It`s my understanding that the society suffers from being isolated or alone! however, as some of you already enjoying not to be confined or restricted or limited, and isolated, I call them lucky! (specially those who have never gone through, DC and BETTY)

Tell us more about how to minimise that feeling please! cos i don't want to waste this precious life and just thinking how alone it feels....so please share your story!

You gotta find your own purpose and happiness in life. You cannot expect someone else to fill up those gaps for you. If you can't be happy on your own, you can't be truly happy with someone else either.
Sure we all need other ppl, we aren't hermits. But you shouldn't have to rely on others for your own happiness and fulfillment in life.

So you gotta do some soul-searching, find meaning in your life, so you can enjoy it, even when you're on your own.
Learn to love yourself.

Isolation is a state of mind, sometimes getting off the computer and going for a walk is all it takes to change that belief.. Face it we all are looking for a connection,, connect with yourself and listen to what you need. I find it great that the internet has hooked up the world.

Nope, i've got my mates and my family, except my son, all close by and if that fails, it's the PS3 !

Nope; I never feel isolated as I am so busy with renos, working out, the military, hanging with friends, the astronomy club, a social club, and now a member of a sci fi group. I need to go home to get some quiet time.
