hey I have a copy of necronomicon...who doesn't...as for COPD and my mother...she is a smoker and refuses to quit, so Im afraid that no she won't get better no matter how much spirit or faith I have. She's killing herself and there is nothing anyone can do to stop her...

I too was a smoker. A heavy one at that. In fact, this is probably a large part of why I have COPD today. However, I did quit smoking about 15 years ago. I quit cold-turkey one day because I finally realized how pathetically stupid it really is to smoke. Not that I didn’t know before that, but I guess I finally wised up.

Unfortunately it may have been too little too late for me as the COPD has taken hold and has recently become seriously debilitating. I do have some hope of recovery, for both spiritual and pragmatic reasons. However, neither of those reasons are likely to become reality whilst living alone. I seriously need a witch to cast as spell on me and embrace me with the magic of her soul.

I really like the way you phrased this:

"I do believe in the energy of the spirit of the cosmos and in the energy and power of the human spirit to guide it."

It is a much better way of saying what I try to explain to people when using conventionally understood phrases like, "I will pray for you".

What I mean by this is that I will devote time to focusing thought and energy on them and their issue in the hope of two things: 1) that it might make them feel better/stronger and so help them help or heal themselves and 2) that my efforts, especially combined with those of others, might actually bring about some kind of channeling of the energy in the universe that would be helpful in some way to that individual.

Wow, kind of harsh don't you think? Reminds me of some old time, old testament "fire and brinstone" talk... not something I'm used to hearing from the nature-loving wiccans I have met in the past...

I was a practicing Wiccan for 13 Years. I am Buddhist now and finally feel more at home than I ever have in a long time. This is my path. I wish you all blessings in your journeys. Hopefully it will be a calm ride.

I remember a quote that is often attributed to many but I doubt anyone really knows its true origin. "May you live in interesting times." Some say it is a curse others a blessing. I would rather just sit back and watch it all. But if chaos is what you crave I'm sure you will have it. It's a self full filing prophesy. but I also know what you mean I often feel it gets a little too quite as well.

Well anoasis doesnt the bible say Judge not lest ye be judged? as may fav t-shirt says "you say i sin and im bound for hell so once you judgement condems you i shall see you there". as for the kind hearted nature lovin Wiccan yes i am but i will stand up for my belifes no matter the price. I got a small gatherin in Basic trainin because they didnt have one for us so i got one started.
