That's pretty much it. Unless you want to get really specific about your question though you're not going to get a better answer then that. To different situations you will have different reasons why anyone would lie.but just use your common sense and you can find various answers to that question.

Research shows that everyone lies, mostly in small ways, every day. But in relationships, expect mild dishonesty early on, until the other person is willing to trust you, and then complete honesty if the relationship is right. continued lying? Get away ASAP.

I agree on the lying. Both men and women do it, unfortunately. Sometimes it's because they don't want a confrontation, sometimes they don't want to hurt your feelings with the truth. I guess that's the same reason that men just "Ghost Out" disapear. It stinks. Yes, you can find genuine women out there. Don't you think we women think the same of men?

People lie constantly; especially in relationships. I don't lie so I will never be in a relationship as I am brutally honest and expect the same.
