Kids are not baggage. But unfortunately some people think us in our 40s should come into a relationship having never lived or experianced lifes ups and downs. Its not the baggage we carry, it how we carry it.

I think people who have had step parents have less a tendency to see a mate's child or children as baggage. I had a good step father. We didn't hit it off at first but later developed a love for each other. He treated just like his biological children before he married my mom. Just about any man can sire a child but to be a daddy is really something special.
