They show what appears to be some kind of hole that an animal might use to access the surface when desired. When I shared them with Robert Morningstar, he thought it resembled a gopher hole. After doing some further research of my own, it seems to resemble the holes that sand crabs in coastal areas here make when the tide goes out.

Interesting to say the least. In the closeup you can see a faint worm like trail that circles around out from the holes.

I doubt they're animal or insect holes but wouldn't it be great if they were? Discovering life on Mars (past or present) would be an earth shaking discovery even it the life weren't green and came with ray guns.
