Its a very common question among women, and there are many different reason that have been given. So i would really love to hear from the guys themselves as they often tend to shy away from this question.

I've never shyer away from a question as this one in which you asked of men um-mm I stand to correct myself only if it's directed at myself. I Never Lie even if the truth causes trouble for others.

We all lie...all of us.

Look at the picture of the person who posted the question....

Is that an arm or a leg or a belly?

It ain't a picture of thier face...it is a misdirection ...it ain't who they are.

To me...that is a lie.

But, this is the Internet....most people lie...just like people who gripe about truth and honesty....don't actually show thier faces.

Don't believe me?....go look in the religion threads....a bunch of honest people....who refuse to show their faces.

1st of all not just men lie as i've had women lie 2 me but if any1 lie's there's 2 reasons (1) they don't want 2 hurt ur feelings..this is known as a white lie & we all do it just depends on the size of it..! (2) they're lying because they know there doing wrong in sum form or another...this is a black lie...so if they do this mayb give 1 more chance as we're all human & make mistakes (depending on wot they done) but they do it again say..."see u later..NOT" as some people don't change.......I hope this has cleared the matter up but not all men are liers as i'm loyal honest & loving..treat people as u want 2 b treated but sum people u need 2 treat them like they treat u then they may understand wot there like..!

tomilioness,,,,,,some men lie because they believe they have too...just like women test men when they first meet them because they believe they have too...in todays world with so many men raised by a single parent, without a healthy roll model to teach them how to be a man its important that they do test us......its ok,,,,, because so many men don't have a clue when its happening.......

There's no one answer but you got gullible people to that's 1 you also got situations people lie for those reasons sometimes it's for a good or bad reason. But it's both genders that lie however

Kupra that might not be a picture of my face but i sure know its my arm.
I have spoken to people on this site with pictures of faces which turned out to be someone else.
I know that a face peeks a persons interest but as you say on the internet are the faces you are seeing the real person you are talking to?
If i were a good liar i would have a picture of a model on my page saying thats me...
I dont have a problem showing a picture of my face but i sure find that there are people that are curious about an arm. and those people actually do get the oppertunity to see my face.
Who knows if that picture you have up is really you?

People who lie wether men or women are really just insecure, low self esteem and do not trust themselves,so how can they trust someone else. I learned a long time ago that lying gets you nowhere and you realize it has just ruined your future dealing with that lie. So I made a promise to myelf, not God or anyone else, just to myself, to never lie again (and not even a white lie)and I have kept it. And I have to say that the giant weight and not having to look over my back is the most liberating and free feeling a human can have. It is disheartning to have women blame men for lies when they do it just as much and many times even more. To say it is just to get sex may be typical of some losers but I have had more sex being straight forward then lying, it just shows in the eyes. Not saying I am a goody two shoes, far from it, but we are talking about telling lies and not who we are.

@ justme4u2hi: I agree with you on your insight i am not saying women are not liars. because i have seen some women tell some dangerous lies.
I just find it amusing that most men think that its normal, and there is nothing to it.
