Anyone have a time machine that obama can use? I think his obamacare would work much better in the old west. There he could lie about its benefits with impunity and he could peddle it to the unsuspecting masses and hightail it out of town before anyone could grab the tar and feathers.
"Ladies and gents, step right up and git your gen-u-ine bottle of Doctor O's Magic Snake Oil. It'll cure anything that ails you. Just pay your hard-earned money to my cute little assistance Miss Nancy Pee." Hooray for the US House of Representatives and the courageous vote to defund obamacare. |

I don't think he would want any of this.. |

There he could lie about its benefits with impunity and he could peddle it to the unsuspecting masses and hightail it out of town before anyone could grab the tar and feathers. Health insurance is a 20th century invention, so no, mandating the individual carry health insurance would be impractical, as there were few hospitals and during the time of the "Old West" most doctors were still unlicensed and ignorant of germ theory. That said, if Obama had such a time machine, he could foresee the trouble with Conservatism and possibly kill off Prescott Bush before he could make deals with the Nazis and so forth. Happy? |

Happy? the fairy tales that you liberals tell.. I find it interesting that you would want Bush killed, but not Hitler.. Is that because he was a socialist and his polices were in line with the progressive agenda? |

I find it interesting that you would want Bush killed, but not Hitler.. Is that because he was a socialist and his polices were in line with the progressive agenda? Who says he has to stop at Prescott Bush. If President Obama had the time machine, he could stop slavery before it began, could stop both world wars, and who knows what. The go-back-&-stop-Hitler angle has already been overplayed. Besides, if you read enough science fiction, you'd probably already guess that if it wasn't Hitler, it'd be some other guy, doing the same or worse. |

Not Hitler? Some other guy? Yeah, a time-travelling Barry Soetoro (aka Your obama).

Not Hitler? Some other guy? Yeah, a time-travelling Barry Soetoro (aka Your obama). LOL. Yeah, let President Obama run Nazi Germany in 1937-1945. That'd be a hoot! |

There are too many "checks and balances" at the President's disposal for Congress to un-fund a law that has been passed. It would be political suicide since there is an election forthcoming.

By Deroy Murdock Last year, according to a Washington Post/ABC News survey, 68 percent of Democrats supported Obamacare. By July 23, however, only 58 percent of Obama’s fellow donkeys backed his chief initiative. Liberal Democrats’ approval of this law rose from 74 percent in 2010 to 78 in July. But moderate and conservative Democrats have fled on health care. In 2010, as Obamacare careened through a Democratic Congress, 76 percent of center-right Democrats cheered, while 20 percent hissed. By last July 23, only 47 percent of those Democrats endorsed Obamacare; 46 percent disapproved. So, among middle-of-the-road Democrats (57 percent of those surveyed), net support for Obamacare is just 1 percent, the Washington Post and ABC News report. Fox News discovered on September 17 that 56 percent of Democrats were “concerned” about their “personal health care under the new health care law.” (Forty-three percent were not.) Among Republicans, 77 percent were “concerned” personally about Obamacare’s medical impact on them; 22 percent were relaxed. Obamacare generates merely polite applause even among black Americans, the cornerstone of Obama’s political base. “Eighty-seven percent of blacks approve of Obama’s job performance overall,” explained another Washington Post/ABC News study released September 20. “But just 48 percent support his signature health care law.” This research echoes growing doubts about Obamacare among leading Democrats and the union bosses who love them. “We’ve got millions of people — working-class, middle-class people — who are going to be pushed into a regulatory health coverage no man’s land,” Senator Ron Wyden (D., Ore.) warned last Valentine’s Day. “They are unable to afford the family coverage through their employer and ineligible for the subsidy that could be used by dependents on the exchange.” |
