Would you pay for these or have you found free ones that work just as well as paid ones ?. Just wondering.

Mine are free as well. My brother's in IT and he says there's no reason to pay for it. I trust him.

Gypsy41 sorry if I confused you about that. I am not paying. Just wondering what might the best program for both issues be. Maybe somebody could send me a message on here to where is the best free program. I have one but when I download webroot spy sweeper just to see what it would find and it has found more then the other program that is free on my pc. .. just not sure why that is.

hey AVGcom is FREE.. all spy ware.. virus ck everything FREE just gotta download it.. i gave up MACAFEE for AVG7.5 works pretty good so far

I have AVG & Avast my AVG hasn't been able to update in a week. & McAfee free firewall, I trip on the inbound events list thou. If its inbound events that it didn't let in & it has a thing where you can tract who it is,report it & ban the address then they are still hitting my firewall ALL the time??

I tired that lavasoftusa program and when I scaned it the second time because it didn't deleted every thing, so I rescaned it and it found nine but it didn't deleted all nine which makes no since why it didn't do so.

I used to use the free ones, I now have Windows live onecare, which covers 3 PC for 50 bucks a year, when i ran the 1st scan, it picked up all kinds of weird adware and spyware that Avast previousy missed.

AVG is gonna be your best bet.

I'm not sure, i know it's a great program, If you run windows, your best bet is to run windows programs and stay away from 3rd party, Try windows defender if ya wanna go free, if ya wanna pay, i highly recommend Windows live onecare, it runs less processes than Avast, not sure about AVG,

windows defender, windows live care are the best. both are free. avg anti virus works great.

yes, windows defender is free indefently, Don't Dl both, try the 90 day free full trial of Windows live onecare and make you assumption then.

windows defender never does anything & when I go into my task manager & try to turn if off it takes me 4 times.. & it runs every night..

If you don't want windows defender then you can just uninstall it and then it won't run any more at all. But windows defender never finds noting for me as it is.
