Feelings are not absurd or a mystery . There are 2 sources of feelings ,a Spiritual and a Carnal .The one we long for and the one we lust for. One is temporary the other eternal. A perfect definition of the difference for example is Love. Patients , selflessness , humility are attributes of love and the Spiritual source ,our natural/carnal mind resists these , instead with impatience,selfishness and pride.

All I can say is that there is a long profound meaning of feelings..

I dunno it is kinda illogical for the brain to release chemicals because someone stole the last cookie in the jar or over words we hear all the time. Just sayin.... And why the hell should it make someone feel the gut wrench when finding out you've been cheated on. Thats kinda high on the totally not cool bro meter. If you really wanted to think about things logically human beings are one of the few species on the planet who engage in monogamy. The majority of species on the planet do not do this. Monogamy doesn't actually help the gene pool either. So isn't it illogical as a species as a whole to do so? But we do. Our brains also fire off chemicals in our brains that come in the form of emotions which make us do illogical things that may even sometimes land people in the slammer. Theres even how we react to art a bunch of shapes,colors or sound making it release totally different chemicals depending on their arrangement. How logical is that?
