I don't drink and my woman doesn't drink. problem solved

I'll bet it helps not to have someone there to tempt
you. My Dad used to drink heavily, but my Mother hardly
drank at all.

My Dad quit when his disease, severe rheumatoid arthritis
got bad. Great guy. Loved him then and still do. Still
love both my parent's very much.

I still had to listen to a lot of heated arguments
growing up. I hated being caught in the middle of
it sometimes.

nope, I'm never tempted. it's been many years since I quit drinking.
   same here.

Absolutely I could! Drinking alcohol is just a form
of escapism. It's a crutch to lean on when people
try in vain to get away from their problems.

Not saying I never drank before. I've done it
a handful of times. These days I hardly drink
at all.

People can still have a lot of fun, and not drink.
They will also remember what they did the prior
day. Not to mention feel a lot better.

Bull, there are Drinkers, and there are DRINKERS!
I'm a former DRINKER laugh
laugh  I put it down a few 24 ago!
40 for me...I didn't say that out loud, did I? shocked

I would love to date a man, who does not drink. However, most of my dates did drink on "occasion" problem is you never know how much they drink unless you get into a "relationship" and None got that for with Me.

Why do you think everyone who drinks does so for this reason?

Riiiight. There are some others that drink socially.
I come from a family full of alcoholics, and know
what damage it can do to a family.

Many do drink socially. Don't make the assumption that someone is an alcoholic just because they enjoy drinking.

I don't drink alcohol. If I do, it will be a couple sips to try a drink. I have been drunk a few times in my life and I do not like the feeling afterwards and I don't want to poison my body.

I don't personally drink, but I don't care if they do as long as they are not an alcoholic.

You are on what street again?

I can easily live without booze, and would rather
date someone who doesn't drink either.

I got woken up by needing the bathroom, so I might aswell add my two cents. lol. I don't mind going for a few drinks with friend's, but I don't get completely wrecked, to the point where I forget my name, and I also never let myself get to the pukey stage, either. Anyway, I have a fear of throwing up, so maybe that's a good thing, if it means I watch how much I drink. By all means I get merry, for sure, but SOMEONE has to be sober enough to nurse any one of the gang who may become wrecked, by the time you leave the pub or club. heh. But I'm also not a push-over. So it IS only that person's fault if they get plastered. surprised

Actually, don't fear throwing up. And in the morning
when you wake up with that splitting headache and
feeling nauseous, a good vomit can make you feel
a whole lot better.

Cute dog. What breed is it?

I don't mind being with someone who drinks once in awhile but do they have to drink every single time we go out? I do get annoyed if we go out for dinner and they have to have drinks and then they think they are driving.
I refuse to ride with someone that has been drinking..my cousin was killed by a drunk driver so I do not believe in drinking and driving. grumble

Sorry, I think I must have went straight back to sleep after I posted that last bit.

I had a few incidents where I've woken up choking. laugh It's kind of terrifying. I wish it was that easy.

The dog is a Jack Russel :) He's called Spot. Glad you like him. I bought him off a woman who was giving him away. Didn't want him living in a dog pound if he didn't have to. He's quite calm, actually. I should put up a pic of the OTHER dog aswell. The other one is a yorkshire terrier. Have YOU any pets? :)
