I just wrote a long post about my first love. It was very moving if I must say. But I hit a key and it vanished. Just as well, not many people here would appreciate it. "I was suppose to remember?" Man I'm glad I'm not a typical guy.

I think people tend to hold on to the ideal rather than the reality

Mine matured.
It would never have worked. She was very musical, and I was in the process of dropping out of performing music. There were dozens of other conflicts (ignored at the time), and yes, it took me awhile to get over her. I'll never forget her - if she turned up somewhere I'd want to be her friend - but I don't love her anymore. S. |

It is seldom say your first love its your true love. What you had with in and the raw messages he first pass across to you makes an unforgettable history. But another way round you have to move with life. Cos life its too short to spend time with someone un serious type. |

depends on what you mean by first love
first real boyfriend and relationship? freshman year at college 1987/88 man what a roller coaster ride of fighting/making up phone calls til 4 in morning crying and laughing passion and high emotions deep conversations about what we both wanted in life both heading down different roads took both of us a couple years to get over.. even after seeing other people still kept in contact few times a year to meet over coffee catch up, make sure we were both doing alright go over reasons why it would not have worked and admit that we missed each other still |

TRUE love never dies, but it can morph into different types for instance, my first husband/first love was a true love of mine, and to this day I love him dearly, but its not the romantic connection it once more,, its more of a pure, joy in the heart, hoping the best for him every moment,,,,kind of love I believe this as well. Over time it is no longer a romantic love but he will always have a special place in my heart. |
