Good film! I have to revisit Mary Poppins after seeing this.

I hope they make a life movie of W.D , will love to watch that.

It was a good film.

I wouldn't mind if Hanks played Walt again.

Saw that already. Bad *** movie. Loved "Tyrion" the dragon slayer, at the end. :)

Away From Here explores the perils that are lurking when a young male youth pastor gets to close to a 15 year old preachers daughter. This story subtly calls into question the age of consent laws in the USA and whether the punishments are just.

Heaven is for real. And Captain America. Surprisingly both have similarity in holding fast to your values/beliefs.

I forgot they had remade this.

I watched it because of Charles Dance. Haha. He was good in portraying the doctor, but I thought his and Rachel Griffiths' role was too...limited.

They paid a decent homage to the original though. The opening scene of the hospital was the same as the 1978 version. In the movie, Roget is seen wearing earphones, and you can catch the music from the original version. Rod Mullinar (Ed in 1978) is now Morris, Roget's boss. Maria Mercedes (Nurse Panicale in 1978) is now the doctor treating Ed's burns. Ed Jacquard is now renamed Ed Penhaligon. (Susan Penhaligon played the 1978 Kathy Jacquard).

In this remake, Patrick's surname is Thompson. (Robert Thompson played the original Patrick). After Brian's hand is cut by the shattering wine glass he goes to Emergency at the Royal Helpmann Base Hospital. (Robert Helpmann played the 1976 Roget).

I'll have to check it out. The trailers and TV spots for the original freaked me out when I was a kid.

Though I got to say the Italian sequel Patrick Still Lives is far more entertaining with it's over the top gore and sleaze.
