A film featuring New Zealand and a famous Kiwi that I really like is The World's Fastest Indian. It's the story of Burt Munro's obsession with modifying his 1930's Indian Chief motorcycle for speed. His dream was to take his bike to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah and he finally gets his chance in the 1960's.
..yes it's a great movie ..invercargill where the film was shot is at the bottom of the South Island ..nestled between the catlins and queenstown ..most magical places in nz ..check them out on google.

I guess I need to watch. My cousins use to live in Invercargill, so I've seen some fascinating pics from there. Or maybe save up for a real life view... I'm out of the movie loop. Time to get back in. Lol...

If you like supernatural themed movies ... I may be able to tempt you with from across the ditch ..yes Australia .. Called the tunnels

I found The Tunnel is available to watch for free on YouTube. I haven't watched it yet but it looks to have that Blair Witch Project vibe.

I watched it yesterday. The story focuses on an investigative news crew in Sydney. They're investigating reports that homeless people living in abandoned train tunnels are being displaced by a proposal to use the tunnels as part of a water reclamation project. They enter the tunnels finding only traces of homeless people having been there, and a presence that they weren't prepared for. Apparently this was a "crowd-funded" film and it seems to be implied that certain aspects of the story really happened?

What movies have you seen and the ending had you in disbelief ...for me ..Stephen kings ..the mist ..comes to mind. Four people and only three bullets ..with an ending I just didnt see coming

I've left the theater on a few occasions in disbelief that I paid $10+ to watch such crap!

So many movies are SO predictable I'm rarely surprised by the ending.

Yes there is a lot to be said for watching movies at home. 7 days is another movie that I didn't predict the ending ....to others perhaps it was blatantly obvious but all the torture scenes must have clouded my mind ..laughing

As a nurse, don't you see enough blood & guts in real life? what winking

laughing ..you would think so but obviously not ..in my defence..I love psychological thrillers ..probably as they are less predictable

Yeah, I get that. I just thought of an old one that surprised me the first time I saw it. Malice, Nicole Kidman's character was very believable.

Good film! I have to revisit Mary Poppins after seeing this.

I hope they make a life movie of W.D , will love to watch that.
