Mcallen here well boy howdy! rgv in the house I had to stop and think about what rgv was !! rio grande valley, where the men are men and female farm animals can keep a secret I hear they grow the best cantaloupes! You heard WRONG !!! Pecos grew the best..39% sugar..but they don't raise them anymore..how do I know?? I raised the last crop grown there back in the late 80's. They still raise them around there on other farms..but for a two mile strectch, north of the rail road..the allali land and the salt water grew the perfect melons. No one farms that land any more its in CRP. I wasn't referring to eating them. What were you referring to?
