It was good because I was blissfully unaware of the hell we call adulthood. Pretty much. Less dead friends and accumulative issues from years of constantly moving. Plus, way back in the day, I could get away with wearing light-up shoes. Night tag was the s* with those light-up shoes...Everyone climbing trees, the higher you go the less likely they will follow; damn night tag, ruthless sport. what's night tag? and is it similar to laser tag? It's like tag and hide and seek...We'd call it manhunt if we were just playing hide and seek, but night tag was a beast; odd man out was always a raging 12 year old frothing at his mouth telling you he is almost a teenager. Like running from a rabid wolverine in shoes that light up at every step, looks pretty wicked in a tree though. a smile on my face & tears in the eyes, takes me back to the summer nights or the 70' playing kick the can in the Bloods Creek. the shoes were different as maybee the games, but kids were kids. The drive in movies were cool! |

"Buddy your a young man hard man playing in the street take on the world your gunna be a big man some day you got mud on your face, big disgrace I'm kickin' your can all over the place" *its really hard to type and try and memorize lyrics. sure thats right to, Queen's first verse of We will rock you! I'm positive its 1977 |

because I was more ignorant to some of the harsher realities of life
and I could be absorbed in just doing what felt good to me,,,,,without much need to consider much else,,,, |

because I was more ignorant to some of the harsher realities of life and I could be absorbed in just doing what felt good to me,,,,,without much need to consider much else,,,, I think getting absorbed in what feels good is the beginning of success. It is usually when you are feeling good that you experience positive thinking, and have more success. In fact, feeling good is one of the first steps in creating the kind of personal reality you desire in your life. |

Better because a firm handshake was all that was needed to seal the deal, it meant something. Now you gotta make sure the pucker didn't swipe your ring.

no 'right to work' which really meant 'right to work you for ridiculous wages and fire you for any reason'
no 'right to stand your ground' which really meant who ever is left standing ground is right,,,, |

In fact, feeling good is one of the first steps in creating the kind of personal reality you desire in your life. being 'absorbed' in anything is rarely(not never bur RARELY) good from my experience , life and reality are about finding a balance plenty of those decisions I made that were feeling 'good' in that particular moment, didn't have consequences that felt nearly as 'good' in the long run,..... |
