I remember the time where you didn't have to worry about locking your door when going some where.

Wow I see you had a Capitol Theater in your town as well and that penny candy would last you all day long...lol...," No-Hunkcees" we use to say when we did not want to share our penny candy.

When the rubbish truck crew came every Thursday to pick up the trash they had a sweeper truck that followed to get what was spilled by the rubbish crew then a water truck would follow the sweeper truck to wet down the street. We use to have a cleaner city in those days.

It was good because I was blissfully unaware of the hell we call adulthood.

Pretty much.

Less dead friends and accumulative issues from years of constantly moving.

Plus, way back in the day, I could get away with wearing light-up shoes.

Night tag was the s* with those light-up shoes...Everyone climbing trees, the higher you go the less likely they will follow; damn night tag, ruthless sport.

It's like tag and hide and seek...We'd call it manhunt if we were just playing hide and seek, but night tag was a beast; odd man out was always a raging 12 year old frothing at his mouth telling you he is almost a teenager.

Like running from a rabid wolverine in shoes that light up at every step, looks pretty wicked in a tree though.

Things were easier. People were more reasonable.

People talked face to face instead of sitting around texting or talking to some ear wig.

You could call a company or corporation and actually talk to a real person.

Store clerks could actually count change the right way.

There were price tags on things. Today if a computer system is down, you can't even buy a loaf of bread. Its ridiculous.

If the power goes out, we are screwed.
