absolutely dogs. Cats just run away, mess up your house, break your treasures, stink so very very bad, or they get killed by the neighbors pitbull:{

dogs show much more genuine loyalty. all my cats either ran away or got killed because they wanted out. They don't rub up on your leg every minute of the day. they don't jump up on your tables and shelves and break stuff. their tongues don't feel like sandpaper. they don't stink up your house like a toilet. They lick your feet and that feels SOOOO good. they listen and behave. they can be taught funny tricks. their fur is much easier to clean up. you can use your dog as a pillow. They nuzzle your neck. They throw you a huge party when you walk in the door. EVERY TIME. Cats are far too independent and bratty.

Cats are cute but I will NEVER ever have another.
