I've known i was adopted since i was five years old into a good family fortunately.i am ,with my parents blessing,searching for my birth mom and siblings.I have found one sister.some parents give kids up in hopes they will thrive...unfortunately doesn't always happen.feel free to e-mail me if you wish and big hugs to you.

Hello to all... I've known all my life that I was adopted or as far back as I can remember... I would love to have a relationship with my real mom, but she has problems, and until she realizes that, there is nothing that I can do for her... She lets other people influence her behavior.. My dad, I am hoping to find him one day... He walked into my life when I was seven, and said he would come back for my birthday which was two weeks away, and he never showed up... I haven't seen him since.. Last known where abouts were FL, and I can't seem to find him... I have went through all kinds of websites looking for him and all they want is money that I don't have... I can get some addresses without being a member, and I wrote to one, but it wasn't him. I am still hoping to find him one day.

My heart goes out to you Whitewolf. As a Adoptive mom of 2 I can only give advice on my experence's. I adopted because i love kids( I have been a fostermom for 30 yrs).
I know there are many reasons why people give up their kids.
The main one being that they love them & went them to have a better life than they can give them. There are reasons too but thats the main one.
Try to remember that life isnt always fair & sometimes we have no control over it.
Looks like you have many friends here that are willing to help you thru this.Whatever happens you are you. Doesnt change
who you are.

all i know was what i found out was that my real parents were coming back to get me but before they did it was 2 late i was gone but it doesn't made how the mistake was made what matters is why ....you hear of babies gett switched at birth back in 73-74 god know how the system worked but i have calmed down some and i'm just shifting everything around but you all are right it doesn't matter what happened in the past it's what i choice to do with the future if i dwell on it to much then the pian comes back but if i just sit back and focus on life and finding my soul mate then it's still there but it doesn't hurt as much.
