It might sound romantic to most but I loved it.

I had a job that kept me on the road all of the time. My ex would give me the keys to his car every 2 weeks so I could use his car as he took mine to get it washed. As soon as my service light would come on he again would give me his keys so he could take my car to get it serviced. He made sure my tires got rotated, my brakes were checked regularly etc. he couldn't come with on my trips but he made sure that I was safe in my vehicle and his attentiveness to my car let me know that I was his 'precious cargo.'

Damn, I miss having someone care for me like that!

One thing I did for a past relationship was what I called a poem scavenger hunt. Very hard to explain, but there were twelve poems all in all, each one in a different room in the house. Each poem also told my her something special about her that made life worth living. With each poem a hint as to where the next poem in the house would be. Each poem also came with a rose, and at the end a dozen roses and a necklace she had been wanting. Thou I know she loved it, I also took the most joy in doing it.

Once a woman asked me out to a Stevi Nicks concert. She paid a lot of money for the tickets and would not accept my money for the tickets. Years later I looked her up at a new address and state and sent the ticket stubs in a valentine days card to her. She was very touched and called me and we talked for hrs. 2 weeks later she passed away in a tragic accident so our last correspondence was our last contact in this world.

I've dated a few Romantic men, they are hard to find.laugh
Romance is something you either have or you don't. Many men
my age group lost it along the way somewhere.
I have gotten Roses and walks by the Lake, and dinner out
to a Romantic cafe. Several things I can think of was really nice.

My brother is really romantic with his wife. I think it's sweet. She tells me he leaves love notes with XXXs and OOOs on his pillow sometimes. On weekends he brings her coffee in bed and then sits by her to read her the paper. He cooks for her every Sunday night...and is actually getting good at it. He also likes to discover something she likes and get if for her...just because. Lucky for him she doesn't have expensive tastes.
